max lobo appreciation post
i loved how max was so supportive of ash, he was by his side ALL the time. he pretended to be his boyfriend without any hesitation at the bar, even played along with him. he was the only consistent father figure to ash, who did not use him: jim sucked, he did not look out for his own son and degraded him. he was a huge part of his trauma. dino was a complete asshole who put ash through so much shit and used him as his in whatever way he wanted, kept him like a trophy. blanca was protective of/sympathised with him, but not like a father. his interest lied only in ash's talents.
max selflessly stood by ash throughout, even if it meant putting his son & wife's lives in danger. he never questioned ash, let him be the child he never could be, and embodied the father ash deserved but never had. he even stood up to jim and told him off.
max really wanted ash to find happiness. max lobo deserves more appreciation 😤
