The relationship between Max and Dani in Hocus Pocus is probably the realest older brother/little sister relationship I've ever seen.
The way Dani annoys Max and he gets fed up with her a lot, but when he actually hurts her feelings on Halloween, he apologizes and explains himself and shows that he still loves her. And even though they bully each other they show nothing but concern and care for each other through the whole movie. Dani teases Max about his crush, and calls him a jerk, and then protects him from Winnie, and defends him against Jay and Ice (all be it to no end, but still good intentions). Max gets mad at Dani for pushing Jay and Ice, and for her generally annoying him, but does what he can to keep her safe the whole night.
They clearly love each other and it's SUCH a great dynamic between them that's almost a foil to how Winnie treats her own sisters through the movie.
Their sibling relationship is so increadibly dear to me
