Its the start of a new season, Woo-ooh! The Simpsons are ready to start their 28th season with a bang, and an episode tie-in to add to it as well! This Sunday, September 25th, 2016, Fox will air “Monty Burns’ Fleeing Circus“, the 1st episode of Season 28, the 597th episode to date and the Season 28 premiere. Episode Description:

When Springfield is burned to the ground, the Simpsons beg Mr. Burns to fund its rebuilding. Burns agrees – with one condition: he gets to put on a variety show at the Springfield Bowl.

Episode Details: ‘Monty Burns’ Fleeing Circus’ is the 1st episode of Season 28 as well as the 597th episode of The Simpsons, and is the Season premiere. The episode will air on FOX on September 25th, 2016 and is written by Tom Gammill and Max Pross and directed by Matt Nastuk.
