max & iago ↳ passionate kisses (1/2)
So I finished watching the Max and Iago storyline from El Cor de la Ciutat, a Catalan soap opera I found by accident on youtube. I started out watching the Max and Enric storyline (Eh, Enric was just hella annoying.. but I stuck it out because Max and Beni were awesome).
It was kinda super confusing at the start, working out who the characters were and stuff because there wasn't actually much info on Max's back story. I spent ages not really knowing who Clara was, but once I'd worked out that Max had been adopted by Quim and his real mum (Lali or something) had been in prison with Clara, where she died so Clara promised to be his mother or something.. then urm, Max came to live with his real dad Beni who had no idea about him...or something? Yeah, once I worked that out it wasn't so confusing. :D
It was also kinda confusing because Max and Enric were like talking about exams and stuff, and Max becoming a doctor but they literally looked about 12. I guess in soaps and things, I'm not really used to actual young people playing teenagers. Usually they're like 30 year olds playing 16 year olds.
But yeah, I really liked the storyline. And considering the ups and downs they had, it was nice they had a happy ending. Well relatively. I mean you can count illegally leaving the country to go to Mozambique together to avoid Iago going to prison for three years for committing a robbery a happy ending, right? I mean that's hella romantic. :D
There was a slight lull in the storyline when Max left for ages, and as likable as a character he was... it was kind of hard to carry on liking him when he left Iago like that. I think it would have been less cruel if he'd broken up with him, but leaving him behind and asking him to wait for an indefinite amount of time was cold~ But in a way, it gave me a chance to warm to Iago a little more. I mean I already liked him, but it was nice for him to be more the main focus than Max.
Anyway, felt like blogging about it and this was the best video I could find to go along with it. :D It only really shows the ending (was so not a fan of Max's hair when he came back from Mozambique xD)...But yeah. (: Maybe it's time to carry on with the Chrolli story now. ...Dunno. :D
