My first book of 2020 🥰 Have you read this? . What was/is your first read in the new year? . ✍Review: "A tremor passes through the soil - do not call it earth. The planet dies. Crickets chirp. Crickets survive, for now, among crashed ships and broken bodies on this crumbling plain. Silver moss devours steel, and violet flowers choke dead guns. If the planet lasted long enough, the vines that sprout from the corpses' mouths would grow berries. It won't, and neither will they." - pg. 3 . This book was something else! The writing was quite hard to get my head around, but in the end, it was a story that I fell completely in love with. This book has incredibly vivid story-telling methods, the writing will take you on a wild ride through two very different POVs and landscapes and yet will still share with you, some of the most tender love I've seen written. I fell hard for Blue and Red, I wanted them to have their happy ending. . This book felt like an extension of a beautiful poem about love, life and loss. It's very heavy in science fiction elements and the time travel aspect can be a lot to grasp at times. But I think it is totally worth it. . . . . #thisishowyoulosethetimewar #amalelmohtar #maxgladstone #readbyamity #australiaisreading #ausbookstagram #auskiwibooksta #booksofinstagram #scifi #timetravel #novella #hugoawardbestnovella #nebulaawardbestnovella #hugoaward #nebulaaward #bookreview (at Wollongong, New South Wales) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJk-lKlA5ON/?igshid=1g52itfmp08p5
