“Simon, stop it--What the fuck are you talking about?” Max paused, taking a deep breath. She was trying not to overreact, but it turned out that wasn’t in her blood. She suddenly began overthinking - did she do something wrong? Did she say something wrong? What could she of possibly done that would cause him to just kick her to the curb so suddenly? “What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go? Why would you--” She stopped herself again, arms crossing over her chest defensively.
