There was a low huff that escaped her when she heard a knock on the door, and Jade pushed herself up off the couch and all but stomped towards the door. It was pouring rain and she certainly wasn’t expecting anyone. “Lena, I swear to god if you forgot your keys again...” She yelled, loud enough for whoever was on the other side to hear her. However, when she got to the door and saw who was on the other side, she stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes narrowing and her heart sinking. Lucas, who was completely drenched from the rain. “What are you doing here?”

“oh come on now. you didn’t actually think i’d stand you up, did you?” with a ridiculous grin plastered across her face and flowers in hand, she really had travelled halfway across the country just to surprise xanthe. that it was in their nature, though. nothing about their relationship had ever been predictable to say the least.

“Simon, stop it--What the fuck are you talking about?” Max paused, taking a deep breath. She was trying not to overreact, but it turned out that wasn’t in her blood. She suddenly began overthinking - did she do something wrong? Did she say something wrong? What could she of possibly done that would cause him to just kick her to the curb so suddenly? “What am I supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go? Why would you--” She stopped herself again, arms crossing over her chest defensively.

Harvey knew that he wasn’t the only one having a hard time with this, and he hated that it affected Addie too. Before his wife’s death, the plans for the rest of his life were setting into motion. He had plans to leave his wife, plans to spend the rest of his life with the woman he truly loved. But everything came crumbling around him, and somehow it felt like his relationship with Addie got caught in the crossfire along with everything else. They hadn’t really spent much time together, and he didn’t like it at all. It had been a couple weeks since the funeral and he’d barely heard from her. She wasn’t answering his calls or texts and honestly? It was worrying him. Harvey stood in front of her door, sighing as he rapped his knuckles against the door. “Addie, I know you’re here.” He hummed softly. “If you didn’t want me to know you were here you should’ve stopped sharing your location with me, I guess.”

the girl didn’t even plan on going to this party. there was only one thing on her mind, finding them. after everything that ha happened this was the only way she could think of how to track them down. instagram ? blocked. phone number ? blocked. she didn’t want to go through friends. that would only mean having to explain why they were in this situation in the first place. 

maneuvering herself through a see of bodies she marched her way right up to them.  at this point she didn’t care who heard her. she was pissed -- livid. their answer to this all was blocking her completely?

“ where the fuck have you been ? ” eye studying the others features as if her answers were going to be written in small print on their face. “ don’t you think we have somethings to talk about ? ” at the very least one conversation.

“what made you think i wanted to talk about this?” ilaria’s tone was icier than it had ever been speaking to them, the topic of her mother immediately shooting walls up. “what made you think i’d talk to you about it, even? do you get off on this, or something — me being fucking traumatised?” she scoffed.

          "oh,  darling,"  their  voice  rings  saccharinely  sweet  across  the  apartment  as  they  scroll  through  their  pinterest  feed  in  deep  concentration.  "when  you  say  you  wanted  purple  for  the  wedding  —  did  you  mean  ...  orchid  purple  ?  pearly  purple  ?"  they  flash  the  tablet  full  of  varying  hues  in  the  other's  face,  tilting  their  head  ever  curiously.  "veronica  purple  ?"
