Yes, exactly. It’s not just the damn green/yellow filter but there is basically no contrast in the background so in the end, as you said, everything is basically one color. And don’t get me started on the super bright spots in the background that makes coloring Alec so much fun, too. 

Honestly, I lose 10 years whenever I have to color this scene. ajshjhssa

2. Do you do something creative/related “irl” as well?

Well, I love to write and sing a lot but i guess writing is kind of in cyberspace too. 

4.What do you enjoy about making graphics / gifs?

I love playing with colors and just making pretty stuff i guess? Also I love making like quote/song edits and seeing how it makes people feel

10. What graphics / gif trends do you dislike most?

Hmm I’m not really a huge fan of pale/super desaturated gifsets. I just don’t really like the look of it but mostly so many of those psd/gifmakers whitewash the hell out of poc like don’t get me started on how whitewashed sana from skam was by the fandom....

21.  How much time do you spend on a single graphic / gif? 

Honestly, there are so many variables that it really depends (what am i trying to do, is the lighting really horrible, is my laptop/pc lagging, etc). Looking at the time between when my gifs were saved it looks like it can take me anywhere from around 10 minutes to 40+. so i guess average would be a little over 20/30-ish minutes. Also that number varies based on how like experienced i am with a certain technique or know how to really quickly fix the lighting for certain media. 

33. Give us a quick explanation of how you make a graphic / gif?

I’m actually gonna do an in depth tutorial like next weekend-ish so I think I’m gonna hold of on this one for now, sorry. I have some info on my faq but it’s a bit outdated

aside from the filter (which I think is WAY better this season btw), we can only hope they'll have Magnus change up the balcony and they'd change it to any other color not including yellow or red. Though we could work with red. Cyans and blues in the backdrop are a true blessing. TV truly does love their green/cyan filters and dark filters. 'Hey, this season is going to be darker, what if we-' me: 'hoe, don't do it!' 'make the sphere fit it!' *facepalm*

I am so thankful that s3 continues with the same filter s2b had which was really nice to work with. So yay.

The thing with the balcony is... it’s just this scene alone. Because it is dark and there is this ugly green-yellow filter and no contrast. Because the “end scene” of the balcony scene in 2x01 isn’t even that bad since the lighting changed here. But the beginning and especially the individual shots are the actual worst.
