New at Draw Down! Rhymes Typeface Specimen from Switzerland's Maxitype https://draw-down.com/products/rhymes-typeface-specimen
Rhymes is a contemporary synthesis of the original, undigitized Times New Roman and another undigitized derivation, Times Book. Rather than a strict redesign, it’s a rhyme, drawing on the untapped potential of the early Times typeface. Rhymes was drawn between 2017 and 2021 by the Czech designer Jakub Samek.
This typeface specimen, which features texts by Persis Bekkering and Jakub Samek, was published on the occasion of the Jan van Eyck Academy Open Studios 2021.
