maxf saying doohan violated the gentleman's code or whatever, it's just so fascinating to me that there even is such a thing, tacit cultural rules of racing, unspoken social norms about what's acceptable, not fucking each other over overtly and sloppily, a concept fair play yk in one of the most brutally competitive sports, i love it.

also him saying "i don't mind if it's max on pole, i like max, he's a really nice guy, if he does it, it's fair play, he did the best job, that's how the world works" like god i really love his fucking energy it's so useful to balancing out the stress. he's so fucking mellow, he knows the drivers, he respects them so much. i wish more fans were this chill.
