📖 STORYTIME 📖 • • • In 1938 on his way to see Louis take on Schmeling, Johnson was racing his way through the state of Georgia, where he was nabbed by a state policeman for speeding. The policeman issued Johnson a ticket for $50, which was a lot of money back then. Johnson handed the policeman a hundred dollar bill, to which the policeman proclaimed "I can't make change for that much!"
