Lorryn- Tiefling Warlock.
Lorryn is a professor at a Waterdhavian college. He went into academia as a way to gain access to special privileges and fund his obsession surrounding cursed antique artifacts. Lorryn is cursed himself thanks to a ring and a broken pact with a god of nightmares. He no longer is capable of sleep and is missing his ring finger thanks to the artifact's forced removal.
Lorryn would often pay a high price for Xanathar muscle while obtaining illegal and dangerous magical items for his own study, which eventually led to the tiefling and Maxwell becoming fast friends. Lorryn is one of the few friends Maxwell keeps. They often go to auctions together and occasionally venture into the Underdark in search of the tiefling's most recent piece of intrigue. When the two go their separate ways, they still maintain a lettered correspondence, usually filled with insults and purposely terrible gifts.
