Not just the comics either tho. I know that in Ultimate Spiderman the cartoon Dead pool had a whole episode with just him, Spidey and Taskmaster. It feels like people were just...under a rock or something before Tom Holland??
YEAH?? ? first off i won’t ever blame anyone for getting into spider-man because of tom holland, spidey was always my favorite marvel hero but holland’s role was the catalyst that got me so INTO it this past year. but i……researched the character. and found out about his age fluctuations over the years, and the spider-verse, and all his relationships that we’ll never see in the mcu (i found a fuckin ten minute video detailing every single girlfriend he’s ever had. going into it i only knew about 3, the mainstream gals that everyone knows. if that doesn’t get my point across…). and i did that so i would know what i was doing when my inevitable fanart started. so i WOULDN’T be the type of person who goes around saying weird shit like “peter parker and johnny storm don’t know each other how dare you ship them over peter/ned or his actual friends”. like, stay within the world of tom’s spidey and the mcu if you want to, more power to you. but stop trying to gatekeep/attack people who branch out alksdnf it’s that simple
