The inside of the building was teeming with life as music played out across the main floor; soft brass and women’s giggles muffled only by the opulent tapestry’s that hung on near every wall. Men sat with their legs splayed with women perched on their knees, each of them vying for the attention of whoever had the deepest pockets. It was all enough to drown out the rain that pelted the city streets, leaving onto the vibrations of thunder as a reminder of the raging storm outside.

Gemina watched with silver eyes over her establishment. Despite it all she cared for her girls, cared for their safety and their lives, and heaven help a hand that moved to far astray. She leaned on the railing of the upper floor, a wine glass dangling from delicate fingers, preparing to resign herself to her room for the night. It seemed that none of her normal clientele would be coming, not seeing it worth the time to waste her energy on men of such little use. Besides, everyone seemed well behaved enough, and she knew she would hear the screaming were she needed to punish a man who became just a bit to brave.

Just as she turned away she heard the door open and she didn’t spare it a second glance until their scent managed to drift up the stairs. It captivated her suddenly, seemingly penetrating her senses and making a shiver travel down her spine. Almost as if compelled to the vampire turned to see a finely dressed man speaking with one of the other prostitutes at the bottom of the stares. 

She then drifted down them, lips curling into a loving smile while offering out her free hand to him. “Good evening, sir..” The vampire said in a low purr, her introduction the sign for the little blonde he’d been speaking to, to leave. His golden eyes caught her off guard, making Gemina stand still a moment as she watched them with fascination. “Madame Volarious, how might I be of service to you on such a lovely night?”
