i just need to take a moment to talk about my internet friends.

so recently i've been thinking about all the relationships/friendships i have in my life, and i've realized that the presence of friends i have made through tumblr and the impact they've had on my life is actually very significant. look through my most recently texted people on any given day and it's guaranteed that at least 4/5 of the top ones are tumblr friends.  these people are consistently there for me, and i don't always feel like i deserve that.  i get distracted, i get busy, but these friends are always intentional in checking in on me and making sure i'm doing okay.

Erika: i honestly cannot imagine what life would be like if i didn't have you in it. the fact that our friendship started by casually messaging each other from basically 3000 miles away, and that developed into taking road trips into the mountains and trekking across England together... it blows my mind. you are one of the FEW people i have in my life that i feel completely myself with. i can talk to you about anything and you are ALWAYS there giving me real thoughtful advice. it actually blows my mind how similar we are, and you know what i mean when i say that. i just wanted to say i love you and thank you for being in my life!

Lindsey: you are the biggest sweetheart i know. you're like my little sis that is also a best friend. you have such a big heart and you are such a special person, i'm so thankful that we started talking over two years ago. you always brighten my day and i love how in tune we are with each other. if we go a few days without talking i actually feel like something is missing. you are strong, smart, and most importantly kind and caring. thank you for being who you are in my life. i love you sooo much!

Hannah: girl, you are so good to me. you are beyond intentional with keeping up with my life and always sending me encouragement when i'm feeling stressed or down. i love talking to you because i always feel like we are on the same level and you just get things that not everyone would. i just wanted to thank you for being the person to lift my spirits, but also the person who will live text me at work during something like 1D Day. it's a good balance and i'm really glad that we started talking when we did. you're amazing!

Taylor: you are simply hilarious. i'm not sure if i've ever known someone as enthusiastic as you are, and it's really good for me because a lot of the time i live worrying what other people are thinking of me and what i love. you always show me that it's cool to show when you're passionate about something and it's important to be happy. i love how instantly we clicked as friends, and i love how crazy i can be when talking to you. i also adore talking music with you, you're one of the only people i know who LOVES everything that i'm into and that's really rare. thank you for being sunshine in my life!

Mimi: i don't know anyone who takes the time out of their day, out of the blue, to send out paragraphs to their friends that are simply about how thankful they are for them and how great they think they are. that's you. every time you send me something like that it encourages me immensely and makes me want to continue to be even better. your sarcasm and your heart are my favourite things about you and i'm really thankful i've gotten to know those parts of you over the past few years. plus, we are finally going to meet in JANUARY!

Cyril: my first real internet friendship. you came into my life when i was really low, and without even knowing you helped bring me out of that. you were the one that got me drawing again, doing lyric art, and that honestly changed my life. if i hadn't made lyric art i would not have all of these amazing friends i've just mentioned above. you were the first person i met who made me realize it's okay to be myself, because there ARE people out there who will love me for it. that helped me believe in myself more that i did before. i've had two amazing summers with you, exploring LA, going to 5 One Direction concerts.... several days at Disneyland. I just am so thankful for the friend you've been for me through the good and bad i've experienced in the past few years. i love you SO MUCH.

i'm laughing about how when i got to England i told Erika to not let me buy any shirts made of that peachy dusty rose coloured fabric because it washes me out and then in every shop we'd go to i'd sneakily still pick one up she'd calmly tell me to put it down because "yes it is a pretty colour" but "you're just going to look naked"

so i don't know if this makes sense but sometimes i get clothing nostalgia, like i'll put on a shirt that gives me really strong memories of a certain time when i was wearing it and then the whole day i'm just engulfed with that memory. like today for example i wore this sweater i bought from Topshop in Birmingham when i was with Erika but the first time i actually wore it was on a really unexpectedly hot and sweaty tiring day in Bristol and i ended up getting a really bad sunburn even though i was wearing a sweater and that was also the day in my Dayna and Erika in England video when i get the dark dry shampoo all over my face so all day today in this shirt i was thinking about sunburns and Effy Stonem's house in Bristol and the smell of Erika's dry shampoo

1) If you could go back and live in any time period what would it be?

- England in the 1920's - 30's. Like Downton Abbey-ish and after the war but far enough after the war where they've recovered a bit?? does that make sense? like i want to live in a mansion in the countryside with servants and my own horse and a carriage and such.

  2) If you could pick one celeb to be your sibling who would it be?

- OOOOHHHH THIS ONE IS HARD. .....NICK GRIMSHAW. He shall be my older brother

  4) Favourite Disney prince and why?

John Smith? is that a prince? because Pocahontas and me are the same because we love white boys and John Smith is the ultimate white boy explorer with a deep lovely voice and blonde hair that is styled nicely etc. and he says the most romantic things. and I kinda like that they don't end up together in the end because she chooses to stay and help her people instead of making decisions that revolve around him and he accepts that and lets her do her thing you know? like #girlpower you go Pocahontas. but also thumbs up John Smith for being a stud.

5) If you had to eat at one restaurant for the rest of your life what would it be?

Its this place called Opa because i love greek food and they have the best grilled lemon herb chicken and cucumber dip and salads and sandwiches made out of fresh pita and feta cheese fondue and watermelon mint lemonade damnit dayna now i'm hungry.
