It’s been 3 years since I became a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) and some days are hard and some days are easy but more so the latter. During this quarantine, we’ve been able to spend so much time with Yor and unfortunately he’s been laid off from work due to Covid. Although we’re on Unemployment right now, I’ve been thinking about going back to work since Yor is currently home. He’s been getting a few phone call interviews here and there but nothing serious. I’ve been applying for jobs here and there as well and today I received an interview for a job. After talking with the HR recruiter, she will forward my resume over to the hiring manager for another interview and though I’m excited for this, another part of me is not yet willing to go through with it. I keep thinking about my kid’s and how much I’ll miss them and vice versa. Maybe they’re still too young for me to go back to work. I’m contemplating it. We shall have to see how this goes forth. There’s even the question of what would happen if Yor gets a job and I’m also hired on....who will take care of our kids? We had thought that maybe my dad can help watch the kids while we both work but it might be too much for him alone. We also thought about daycare but not during this pandemic time. I just don’t know...Praying for guidance.
