Anon Request: A headcanon where the reader had a stressful few weeks and Riz comes and picks them up to go for a ride together
Warnings: None, just Fluff
- With everything at the club, Riz had a few stressful weeks himself. Yet with every morning it gets harder for him to leave you for the day. He notices you getting paler, the dark circles around your eyes getting a bit darker every day and it feels like forever since he saw that gorgeous smile of yours.
- After doing the most important things at the yard he talks to Bishop and asks him to take the rest of the day to look after you. It’s a quiet day and Bishop sends him off with a slap on the shoulder.
- You are so absorbed in your work that you don’t even notice Riz coming home in the middle of the day. Only when you feel his arms wrapping around you from behind you look up from your work.
- He grins at you and his face is so close to yours that a strand of his hair tickles your cheek as he leans forward to kiss your forehead.
“Enough work for today”, he murmurs in your ear and pulls you away from the desk.
- There is absolutely no way to protest once Riz has his mind set on something. Before you know, you are sitting on his bike in one of his jackets and hold onto Riz, since he refused to tell you where you’re going.
- After a while you arrive at a small lake, which you got mostly to yourselves except for one or two other couples.
- Riz takes his bag off the bike and spreads a blanket for the two of you, gesturing for you to get comfortable while he takes out some snacks. He got them at the gas station on the way home, but he still picked out your favourite sodas, chocolate bars and a bag of potato chips.
- You chuckle as you see his version of a sunset picknick and snuggle closer against him as the evening sun tints the lake gleaming red.
- “Thank you for this, I really needed that”, you mumble against his chest. You can feel the smile on his lips as he presses a kiss on top of your head.
- “We’ll make the best of the stressful times, mi amor. They’ll pass, I promise”, his voice vibrates in his chest as you lean against it.
- You two spend another hour cuddled up at the lake with Riz stroking your hair (and occasionally letting his hands wander elsewhere) before you head home.
- As you arrive at home the sugar rush of your dinner starts to wear off and that night you sleep better than you have in the last few weeks, snuggled tightly against Riz.
The guys are running late for Christmas party they organized themselves, along with a gift exchange with their friends and loved ones. This series follows seven different stories over the course of one night. It all begins with:
The Christmas Exchange
Reader/Riz
Readers 18+ only
You sit alone watching everything unfold. This Christmas exchange might not have been the best idea. Coco stormed outside after his old lady, their voices echoing faintly through the thin walls of the clubhouse. She’d thrown something, a recently unwrapped present, you think, just before she slammed the door behind her, leaving Coco swearing under his breath before chasing after her.
Bishop’s much younger girl sat near the edge of the couch earlier, arms crossed and lips in a deep pout. She was as bratty as she was gorgeous. She’d been whispering harshly to Bishop all night, clearly upset by something. Eventually, Bishop sighed, pulled on his jacket, and led her out the door, murmuring an apology to the group as they left.
Angel had snuck off with your friend somewhere more private to exchange some “special” gifts, leaving their laughter trailing behind them like the faint jingle of distant bells. You’d caught your friend’s grin as they slipped away, Angel’s arm slung casually but possessively over her shoulder.
On the other hand, Ez and his new friend looked like they were in their own little world. The two were slow dancing in the corner, oblivious to everything else, swaying to a song that wasn’t even playing anymore. The way they gazed at each other made you smile despite the awkwardness of the evening.
Gilly and his family, though, were the picture of holiday cheer. His son had been sad the entire day thinking his dad was going to miss this Christmas. The club had been on a run and had encountered some snags that resulted in an unfortunate delay. But they made in at the last minute and now he was clinging tightly to his dad, arms looped around his neck as Gilly spun him around the room with a cheery laugh. His wife snapped photos with her phone, her eyes shining with happiness as she watched them. Gilly’s loud joy made the room feel a little brighter, even as the tension from the others lingered in the air.
And then you saw him. The man you’d had your eye on for a while. Riz was leaning against the bar, his long hair catching the glow of the Christmas lights strung haphazardly across the ceiling. He reminded you of those ancient warriors from the cheesy historical romance novels you couldn’t help but devour, stoic, strong, and just a little mysterious.
Riz caught your gaze, then sauntered over, a cold beer in hand. He sat next to you with his usual unhurried ease.
“It’s been quite the eventful night, huh?” he said, handing you the bottle.
“Yeah, for real. I question if this was all even a good idea.”
He chuckled, the sound warm and low. “Nah, it’s fine. Bishop will lay the law down at home, and Coco will be alright. It’ll all work out. Everyone else will have a good time.”
“Will we? I mean, everyone else. I didn’t mean to imply you and me,” you added quickly, feeling your cheeks warm.
“We will.” He looked at you for a moment, his dark eyes steady. “I have a gift for you, but I left it in the car. I’m not sure I wanna go out there right now, it sounds like a battlefield.”
“You got me a gift?”
“Yeah.” His voice dipped slightly, quieter, like he was revealing something he wasn’t used to sharing. “Wasn’t sure if it’d be your thing, but it reminded me of you.”
You tilted your head, caught off guard. “Of me?”
“Yeah.” His lips curved into a small, almost shy smile. “I was gonna leave it anonymous, but... figured that’d be stupid, huh. So one of the other guys take the credit, nah?”
The thought of Riz—Riz, of all people, thinking about you enough to pick out a gift left you momentarily speechless. Your heart skipped a beat as he leaned back, his gaze flicking toward the front door where Coco and his old lady’s argument still raged faintly in the distance.
“Do I get a hint, or is this one of those ‘wait and see’ kind of deals?” you teased, trying to keep your voice steady.
He smirked. “A hint, huh?” He scratched the back of his neck, something you’d rarely seen him do, and it made him look younger, less untouchable. “Alright. It’s... something for those ‘cheesy historical romance novels’ you’re always reading.”
Your eyes widened. “You know about that?”
“Don’t look so surprised,” he said, nudging your shoulder lightly with his. “You’re not as secretive as you think. I’ve seen the covers peeking out of your bag, half-naked dudes with long hair fighting dragons or whatever. Didn’t think I noticed?”
You groaned, covering your face with your hands, but you were laughing. “Oh my god, Riz.”
“Relax, I’m not judging,” he said, his grin widening. “Like I said, it reminded me of you.”
“Now I have to know what it is,” you said, your curiosity fully piqued.
He glanced at the door again, hesitating. “Alright, alright. You win. I’ll brave the battlefield,” he said, standing up and stretching lazily before grabbing his jacket from the back of his chair.
“Wait! You don’t have to go out there now,” you said, half-laughing, half-serious.
“Yeah, I do. I wanna see your reaction.” Riz turned back to you, his face softening as he added, “It’s important to me that you like it.”
His words made your heart skip a beat. Without waiting for a reply, he pulled the door open, letting in the sharp bite of the December air. You followed him out, the noise of the heated argument between Coco and his girlfriend immediately cutting through the night.
Coco was pacing near the edge of the parking area, his voice carrying as he threw his hands up in exasperation. “You know what? Fine! Go ahead and run off like you always do! You’re a fucking succubus, you know that? A goddamn succubus!”
His girlfriend shot him a glare over her shoulder as she stormed in the opposite direction. “Maybe if you weren’t such an immature jackass, I wouldn’t have to!” she snapped before getting into her car and slamming the door.
Coco stopped pacing, running his hands through his hair as he muttered a string of curses under his breath as she sped off. Finally, he let out a frustrated growl, shaking his head as he turned and walked toward his bike. He didn’t spare either of you a glance as he mounted it, revving the engine loudly before peeling out of the lot in the opposite direction of his girlfriend.
You and Riz exchanged a glance, both caught between amusement and secondhand embarrassment.
“Well, that was... something,” you said, breaking the silence.
“Typical Coco,” Riz muttered, shaking his head with a chuckle. “He’ll cool off. Probably be back to groveling by morning.”
“Do you think she’ll forgive him?”
Riz shrugged, pulling you gently toward his car parked near the far end of the lot. “Probably. She always does. Those two thrive on drama.”
He unlocked the car and rummaged around in the backseat for a moment before turning back to you, a garment bag draped over one arm and a small, wrapped box in the other hand.
“Here,” he said, handing you the garment bag first. “Open this first.”
You unzipped the bag and pulled out a stunning historical gown. The deep burgundy fabric shimmered in the faint glow of the parking lot lights, and the intricate lace and embroidery gave it the unmistakable flair of something out of your beloved romance novels.
Your brow furrowed as you stared at it, confused. “Riz... what is this? Why would you get me something like this?”
He grinned, clearly amused at your reaction. “Yeah, I thought you might need it for this,” he said, holding out the small box.
You opened it, revealing two tickets to a Renaissance fair tucked inside. Your eyes widened as realization hit you.
“A Renaissance fair?” you asked, looking up at him.
“Yeah,” he said, a little sheepishly. “Figured it’d be your thing. Thought we could go together. You know, knights, castles, dragons or whatever those books of yours are always about.”
Warmth bloomed in your chest as you stared at the tickets, then back at him. “You really thought about all this?”
“Of course I did,” he said, his voice soft. “Wanted it to be special. You deserve that.”
For a moment, the cold night air and the lingering chaos of the evening faded away, leaving only the warmth of his gesture and the quiet sincerity in his eyes.
“Merry Christmas,” he added, his grin widening.
You couldn’t stop the smile spreading across your face. “Merry Christmas, Riz.”
It was some form of meet up for the club, but it included the Galindos. So many patches and prospects and just generally people. And Espie was not really enjoying it. She didn't mind the people, moreso the bustling and overlapping conversations - of which there were many. She blew out a breath, as the gathering spilled out of Templo, and she raised her gin to Emily in gesture of asking if she had one. She eagerly nodded. So, as Emily joined her, and EZ came to the bar and provided her with a drink, other prospects started swarming.
Emily and Espie were about to engage in conversation, when a couple of prospects came around them and one threw an arm round Espie's shoulder. She looked at Em before she shrugged it off, and they tried to move.
"C'mon, girlies." One of them said. Em's eyebrows shot up, as their faces met in disbelief.
"No. We aren't walking pussy, on your bikes." Espie spoke up, surprising Emily with her curt response.
"Whoo! Feisty. I like it." He tried. Em tried to look round for Michael, as EZ was occupied with Angel and Coco, before Espie spoke up again.
"Well, we don't like you." She stood, ready to take Em with her, when they tried to lay their hands on them.
"Get off." Emily spat, pulling her hand back.
This caught the attention of a few of the guys, and just in time to see the prospect go to reach for her again - only for Espie to snatch his hand and twist it and him so she had his arm behind his back, rather painfully. She was about to lead him out, ready to grab the other, when the prospect slammed his head back. The bar quietened with the crack of her nose.
"Morada!" Riz gasped, jumping up.
But he, and anyone else about to intervene, froze when she spun the prospect round and threw her face into his. Her forehead smacked down on his nose and he staggered back, holding his nose - no where near prepared to catch the fist the flew into his chest, causing him to drop his hands, to leave room for her to lay her right hook round his face. He dropped, and before the other prospect could move to do what he planned (which was either go for Espie or catch his buddy) she sent her left leg out and up into his throat, sending him flying, before she grabbed his collar.
"Get out, and take him with you." She spoke, in a calm yet dangerous tone. Her blood pouring onto him.
"Hmm..." He whimpered, trying to respond, but struggling to breathe.
"Now!" She forcefully added, pushing him to the side so that he could oblige.
Hank and Gilly walked forward, 'helping' them in this endeavour, as Miguel walked up to Emily, and Riz cautiously approached Espie. None of the club had seen her haul off like this. The club remained quiet, as Espie began to groan and hunch over, her breath picking up. Michael caught her as she went forward,
"Es, I got you, querida." He cooed, trying to pull her hair back out of the stream.
"Argh, my face." She groaned, before trying to laugh, but moaning in pain again. Which then turned into an angry growl. "Assholes."
"You gave em what for, though, ma. Was impressive." Coco's voice chimed in. His only reply from her was when she raised a thumbs up. A rather bloody thumbs up.
"Go get She-Hulk patched, Riz." Bishop sighed.
"Come on, querida."
"Yeah."
He led her out to the bathroom, leaning her over the sink, before he grabbed a few towels for her to put under her nose. He shook his head in disbelief as he thought the urge to let out a chuckle, unsure of everything that had just transpired. He had no idea Espie was this badass. He knew she didn't take shit, and that she was a lot of talk, until he had her writhing underneath him, and he knew he shouldn't be thinking like that when she was in such a state right now.
"Are you feeling okay, morada?" He carefully asked.
"Well, mi vida..." She began, in a shaky voice. "I could be better."
"But?"
"But I'm good. Only took one hit." She finalised. He scoffed.
"I noticed. I was about to crack his skull." Riz retorted.
"Beat ya to it, Riz."
"I noticed." He repeated, before letting out a sigh. "I can't believe you butted him back."
She held the tissue away briefly, testing out the flow of blood, before she raised her head, "I was angry."
Riz scoffed again, shaking his head, as he moved her hair to look at her head, "I noticed that, too, morada. Remind me to never piss you off."
"Like I could ever hit you." She purred, raising a hand to his cheek, which he stopped.
"You're still bloody, amor." He laughed.
"Eugh." Then she lowered the tissues again, and he let out a growl.
He moved some hair and he saw how bruised red her nose was, and the way it was already going to her eyes. He tilted her head around and grew angry for a moment, before he remembered she got her own back and he shook his head, before catching her sassy face.
"Dollar for your thoughts, hun?"
"We gotta get you to the hospital." He let out a breath, and watched her face fall.
"Fuck." She binned the sopping towels, before getting some extras, then turned back to her man, "Was it at least hot?"
He let out a rumble of laughter, before swinging his arm about her shoulder to lead her out. "Very, querida."
"Sweet."
They walked out into the bar, and she caught sight on EZ on the floor wiping up blood. She pointed and he nodded. So she gestured to herself, and he chuckled as he nodded again.
"No wonder it fucking hurt." She huffed, letting Riz continue to lead her out - leaving the rest laughing.
There was a party going on at the Mayans club tonight and Riz invited you to drop by. He wanted to see you but didnt have the balls to say it.
Pulling up you heard shouting, yelling and grunts. You figured they were having a giant orgy in the back, you never knew what you'd be walking into with this club. You rounded the corner and saw Angel and Riz in the cage fighting. They both looked like they got the shit beat out of them.
"What the hell are these to idiot's doing"? You yelled over the cheering to Taza as you stood beside him.
"Oh you're here. Well this fights for you". He laughed. You eyed him confused.
"Why me? What did I do"?
"Angel said somethings and Riz overheard them. So he's beating the shit out of Angel".
"What sort of things did Angel say"? You tilted your head crossing your arms over your chest.
"Mostly about your kitty and his anaconda". Taza cackled to himself at the animal metaphors.
"Ahh, sick pervert. I would never". You scrunched up your nose.
"Thats what Riz said. But you know Angel. He kept running his mouth and Riz got tired of it".
"Great. I hope he kicks his ass". You watched the fight, cheering as Riz punched Angel in the jaw. Angel stumbling back.
"Come on, Rizzi finish him". You cheerfully screamed, clapping your hands but before Riz could go for the 'kill' Gilly stepped in and broke it up. Making them hug it out and forget about it.
You met Riz at the entrance of the cage. He was badly beaten, his nose was busted open and his knuckles were all gashed up. Angel didnt look any better. His beauty of a face was somewhat unrecognizable. It had started to puff up.
"Great job there cowboy". You greeted him with a whistle. "Mighty fine work you did there". You giggled when Riz rolled his eyes with a grinnish blush.
"It was nothing". He replied going to sit at the table, Taza waiting to doctor him up.
"Not what I heard. You came to defend my honor. That's very noble of you, Michael". You say taking a seat in front of him.
"Angel, needs to learn to keep his trap shut. Talking about a fellow brothers girl like that". Riz saw your eyes widen, and blushed looking away.
He never called you his girl before. Just a friend. Everyone knew he wanted more but was to chicken to ask. You on the other hand made it perfectly clear that you wanted him but he never took the hints.
"Your girl"? You looked up at him through your eyelashes, casually playing with his rings on the table.
Riz gulped down the lump in his throat. "Yeah, my girl". He turned back to you with a smirk on his face.
"I like that. Your girl". You giggled to yourself. Blushing shyly.
Taza stood behind Riz cleaning his wounds rolling his eyes with a chuckle. Like finally he had the guts to say something.
"So what are you doing after this"? You quickly asked before you chickened out yourself.
"I dont know yet. Probably stay here and drink. Talk with some brothers".
"Or". You started.
"Or"?
"You could come home with me and let me properly thank you. I could be your nurse if you liked. I know Taza has better things to do". You looked up at Taza and he was gone in a flash. Making you both laugh.
"Yeah, I wouldnt mind that". He struggled it off like it was no big thing but deep down inside he was already hard. Just thinking about you 'nursing' him back to health.
"I mean, unless you're to sore and wounded to come with me". Your sultry voice made Riz get goosebumps up and down his arms. Getting up from your chair, placing Riz's rings on your fingers and started to walk off. Looking over your shoulder.
Riz grabbed his shirt and kutte, following you. Leaving his boots behind. "No I'm good. Let's go". He scrambled up beside you. You let out a giggle for his eagerness.
You walked over to the passenger side door and opened it up for him. He stopped before getting in.
"You sure about this? I dont want to ruin what we have".
"Rizzi, my kitty wants your anaconda". You leaned in and kissed his dry lips. Pulling away, biting his lip. Letting it go with a pop. Riz had the hugest smirk on his face as he got into the car.
Walking back to your side of the car, you saw Angel getting patched up. You waved with a smile. He sent you a wink.
Sometimes people just need a little push. Or a punch to get the ball rolling.
HEADCANNON: How the boys would react if you get in a fight. Just the Mayans, not anyone else.
FIGHT
Not really a fight but you do defend yourself
You were home alone. Riz was somewhere doing something for the club and you were home alone.
So when you heard what sounding like footsteps in the kitchen and male voices, you kinda freaked out
Which resulted in you grabbing your 9 mm glock that was in your bedside table and slowly crept to the door
You peaked out and saw a dark hooded figure walking in the hall.
You lifted your gun and shot out, as the figure yells out and goes down. Two more figures come over and spot you as you run
You swing your gun and hits one figure in the face as the other figure grabs you by the wrist
You yell and lean down and bite the wrist as the figure throws you down as he cradles his wrist
Managing to scramble to your feet, you run past them as the second figure, the one you hit with the gun chases you. You manage to grab a knife from the knife holder and try and slice at the guy. He dodges but you punch him when he tries to grab you as you drop the knife and run out the door
Right into a chest
You look up and see your twin brother EZ
“Y/N what’s wrong?!”
“Three guys try to come after me!” You yell as his eyes widen
“They were only supposed to check on you not scare you!”
“Wait what?”
“Angel, Coco and Gilly were asked by Riz to check on you.”
“uh oh. I shot one”
“Wait what?”
“I shot one of the guys.”
“Yeah you shot me.” You two turn to see Coco walking out with his hand covering the wound
“YOU SHOT ME IN THE ASS!”
AFTERMATH
Everyone was quiet as Angel and EZ bandaged Coco up and you were getting an ice pack for Gilly
So as it turns out, you shot Coco in the ass
And also punched Gilly, with the gun and your fist
And then bit your older brother Angel on his wrist
“Sorry again.” You say handing the ice pack to Gilly who nods
“Don’t say sorry sis. They shouldn’t have scared you.” EZ says as Coco mumbles
“Well I am going to bed. Tell Michael that when he gets here to stick his dick in my ass to wake me up.” You say ignoring your brothers’ shocked faces, Gilly’s scared face and Coco’s interest face
It was about an hour and a half later when you feel a kiss on your cheek and your boyfriend’s soft chuckle
“¿Mi amor, por qué está Coco en la mesa con los pantalones bajados?” (my love, why is Coco on the table with his pants down?)
“Puede que le haya disparado en el culo.” (I may have shot him in the ass)
“Wait you did what now?”
You chuckle at your boyfriend’s shocked voice as you open your eyes and see your boyfriend sitting by you on his side of the bed
“You asked them to check on me. Which to them meant scare me half to death.”
“So that is why Angel has a mark on his wrist and Gilly has two big bruises on his face?”
“I bit Angel and hit Gilly with my gun and my fist. Also my gun is jammed now.” He laughs at your comment and pulls you into him so you are leaning against him and he leans to kiss your hair
“That’s my girl.”
“Is Coco still moaning and groaning about being shot?” You ask
“Oh yeah. Angel has him sipping a beer to shut him. Anyway, how did the talk with the wedding planner go?” He asks
“Great. She said Taza’s ranch is a perfect place for the venue and it will be the right temperature.”
“Please tell me you aren’t having one of his horses carry the rings down?”
“maybe.”
“Aye. What am I gonna do with you?” He asks squeezing your hand that has a gold band around it.
