Purple pals are rare in nature. Most animals structure their fur/feathers/scales to reflect light in a certain way, rather than relying on pigments like plants. Despite this, there are some purple animals, namely birds. The Violet-backed Starling, Purple Starling, and Violet Sabrewing all have striking violet plumage.
