Jensen was referring to Mish as brother a couple times. If at all Cockles is/was real at some point (I strongly believe it was real), wont that be like a stab at Mish? I really hate it when ppl do that. I mean, if my bf/gf or ex calls me sister, I swear I'll be pissed and hurt.
Also, why did I feel like they haven't maintained contact much? I hated it when Jensen mentioned that he was texting back and forth with Jared. If he was keeping contact with Misha, wouldn't he have known the schedules and the plans? All it'll take is a simple text. Jensen didn't say I love you - now that hurt me
I really wish they continue their friendship with the same intensity. I believe in Mish - he is great in maintaining friendships. But I don't know about Jensen - and with this new founded friends and fame - I hope he doesn't abandon Mish.
Hey, look-- I know we all wished that the panel was some big "I love you" confessional, but of course, it wouldn't be. I honestly thought it was a great conversation between the two of them because it highlighted just how much they enjoy talking with one another.
And yeah, for the "Cockles" of it all, it'd be nice to Jensen to know all the details of Misha's life, but I have always said that it wouldn't make sense for those two to define a relationship in any traditional sense, and this is exactly why. They are both busy, they live far apart, they have a million obligations that pull them all over in a moments notice, so keeping tabs on one another is pretty much impossible; and I know what you're gonna say: But if they were/are together, wouldn't they know these things?
I mean... maybe? Honestly, my best friend is someone I speak with on the phone four times a year, and I see her once every few years, but when we do talk and when I do see her, it's like no time has passed, and that's just a friendship. My husband and I can be ships passing in the night for weeks on end, and then we'll find things out about the other over the few dinners we do get to have together.
My point is... every relationship is different, but real bonds endure no matter what. And whether or not they're together or they're just friends, I didn't see Jensen not knowing everything about Misha's life or Misha not knowing everything about Jensen's as a bad thing-- it just made sense given their situations.
And on top of all that, I have a sneaking suspicion that the two were pretending to not know as much about the other for the sake of the zoom call. Also, for the sake of their own privacy. The times they have worked together on projects and charity functions, they have done this thing where Jensen will almost "play dumb" about the cause and then ask Misha questions, and Misha will answer-- usually in a joking, sort of teasing way, and then they'll banter back and forth, and then they'll finally talk about the thing they're promoting. I saw elements of that in this panel-- Jensen seemed to have his "interviewer" voice on at times to inquire about Misha for the sake of the audience. I don't think the entire panel was that ^ but I do think many of the things Jensen apparently "didn't know" about Misha, were actually just mentioned for show.
In any case, those two could obviously talk for hours and I wish we got to see them talk for hours, but I am so happy with the little bit we got because they're super cute and super scruffy and super loving with one another.
It was just super.
