99% of my time writing this Jaime POV story is spent thinking of his backhanded compliments and snark.
are we gonna do the do
We have four possible scenarios:
Eweleïn walks in (we’re sharing the room with her, she believes we're still unconscious, I bet she actually ate fast to go to check up on us BECAUSE SHE’S SO PRECIOUS)
the boy stop us (”hey, i don’t want to rush anything *kisses forehead*” :) )
We stop it (”i’m not on my full senses...actually i just remembered that the Oracle is dying and i’ll die too”)
we do the do and then spend our maanas on the eldarya’s version of the next day pill
I had a whole 3 chaptered Corqi fic (it was meant to be an entry for the ffxvaboweekend), and the document just...disappeared.
It vanished! Used the search tool but it’s nowhere in my computer and it’s not in the autosaved documents. I don’t get it, it was there for an entire month and I constantly checked on it, and it just...poof!
I was excited to post it today...
There goes all my work.... (_ _ )ゝ
I work hard in everything I write so it’s super polished, so it really feels terrible to lose like 12 or 14 k out of the blue.
*sigh*
Guess I’ll just...go re write it all again. See if I can manage to finish it for tomorrow.
....this was going to be my make up for not having written/posted anything in a month... (_ _ )ゝ
I’m at a weird cross-point in writing at the moment where I’m super deep into a chapter I’m working on and really sucked-in and can’t stop thinking about it and where I’m going next, and simultaneously convinced that what I’ve written is fucking terrible and has no pacing and is unreadable, and also convinced that nobody’s going to read the fucking thing when I finally post it, but I’m so into writing it, I really can’t stop.
I guess I should embrace that last bit-- I’m really sucked into writing this, it’s a story I have to get out and tell. It doesn’t matter if almost nobody reads it, clearly it’s a story I have to write, and it’s not like it’s a story that absolutely has to exist in the world, but it’s a story that I have to get out before I can really do justice to anything else, clearly. So I should enjoy the bit where I’m writing it, I suppose, and not worry about the rest.
It’s just sort of... lonely, really, and it’s a bit dark and the emotional payoff is really far in the distance and I just have to push through.
So uh I guess I’m just going to obsess about it a lot.
There are approximately three dozen people still reading the Lost Kings as far as I can tell, so rest assured, I won’t let you down. Chrissake, it’s an 85,000-word, seven-part epic about a pair of characters from prequel comics, that’s an enormous audience. Plus they’re characters of color being written by a white lady, so I’ve managed to cut down on potential audience on at least two axes, there.
So. I guess I’ve cheered myself up. Back to the mines!
I was on the subway with my friend and she said "it's connor murphy!" I looked where she was looking and there was a guy who looked a lot like connor, and his hair was just like connor's
I just realized that someone who was a moot has blocked me… wow It's true that it's been a while since I saw them on the board, I thought they were simply gone, but I saw it on someone else's profile and when I tried to favorite their post it wouldn't let me, and when I click on their photo it says it doesn't exist, but if I go into my secondary account, their blog does come up… I don't even know how to feel
if any of you have a problem with me for whatever reason, please let me know before :(
So, I've been playing The Secret of Shadow Ranch for about an hour. Pretty sure the campfire scene was the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in nd games. I really enjoyed it when Nancy caught those ridiculous men in a lie and they were forced to tell her what they were up to, Lol. Losers.
That old cowboy was sweating, but it wasn't because of the hot weather. [Maybe I have a sister. Why? Are you asking if it was my sister who sent those threats?? Outrageous! I've never had a sister, I do not know any sisters!! *later* Ok, maybe I have a sister, but she's crazy, I would have fired her myself! ha ha nailed it]
That bald cook expressed his displeasure because Nancy was rummaging through his stuff, but he got nervous when she started asking him about the map! Well done, Nancy, he's the one who should feel guilty.
And that handsome cowboy when Nancy found him in the basement? He said earlier that he didn't know anything about the treasure. Liar! And Nancy told him so to his face. And what did the guy do? He told her some story about his aunt, which, to be honest, I didn't listen carefully to, and then he left, very quickly.
