Teaser for the upcoming prompts! Next month is May, and that means it‘s time for our MayBe Monsters challenge. MayBe Monsters is a casual drawing challenge by DonKringel and AutumnScramble for practicing monsters of all kind throughout the whole month of may.

We want to practice our gruesome monster game and challenge everyone who is interested to join us on our journey. All prompts go up in about a week. Join the fun!

#MayBeMonsters day 4: slither. I started on the snail and then learned that apparently snails "crawl" and don't "slither". The more you know, I guess? Just a concept for today. In my head, it would look cool with watercolour, like a fairy tale illustration or such. One day, I might finish it... which version(s) do you like most?

#MayBeMonsters day 1: blood! Very classic choice, a vampire :D I might one day find time to do a vampire story… I doubt I will manage to post something every day, but at least tomorrow I will try. If you want to watch, my art stream starts 4pm CEST tomorrow (sunday may 2nd).

#MayBeMonsters day 2: melting! I spent way too long on this, but I really wanted to do something with lava :D I will likely post the art on the next day, since otherwise I’d be posting at midnight or so, and that’s no fun...

#MayBeMonsters prompt 5: towering! I’m a little off schedule, but I guess reallife sometimes butts in on my drawing time. Still, sketching some interesting creatures is fun!

#MayBeMonsters day 3: fragile! Throwback to last year, where I also drew a few pictures of this monster boy. Where will it go? No one knows, least of all me :D

Here are the guidelines:

1) Every day has a drawing prompt which should be incorporated figurativly or literally in the image. 2) Do some prompts, do only one, try all of them – take part however you want, no pressure. 3) There are no restrictions on what kind of monsters to draw: whether scary, cute, humanoid, just a monstrous personality, or whatever you can think of. 4) There are no restrictions on the drawing/crafting medium so feel free to use everything you want. 5) After finishing your piece, please share it online with us under #MayBeMonsters2021 6) Have fun creating, sharing and watching all the ideas of yourself and other artists!
