The Value of Writing Stuff Down
So,
This year I have a math teacher who despite it being the year 2014, uses a blackboard. At the beginning of the year back in around September of 2013, I was skeptical about the effectiveness of this archaic method of teaching. I have never been so thankful in my life as this year my abilities in mathematics has improved more than it has in my entire career so far. The reasoning behind this antique teaching method is that if we want to remember what was in the lecture, we are forced to write it down which solidifies it in our long-term memory. Unlike previous years in schooling, I somehow remember things that we learned 6 months ago...
