“If you’re not careful,” I said, brushing imaginary wrinkles off the front of my riding habit and breeches, hoping the flush in my cheeks would come across as anger and not embarrassment, “you’ll be the one dragged here in bits and pieces.” Thomas tilted my chin up with a finger, his intent gaze setting my skin aflame. “I do love it when you speak so maliciously, Wadsworth. Gives my heart a bit of a rush.”

As far as Lucasfilm is concerned, May 4th is the official holiday celebrating Star Wars Day. Since the conception of this particular event, Star Wars fans have religiously observed this joyous day. While most fans will binge watch the series as a way to join in the spirit of the fandom, there are others who celebrate in unique ways - including creating Star Wars cookies or Star Wars-themed parties. History of “May the 4th Be With You” Before “May the 4th Be With You” became a trending hashtag on Twitter, it was nothing but a pun printed by the London Evening News to congratulate Margaret Thatcher for winning the election and becoming the first female Prime Minister of Britain. This was way back in 1979, two years after the first Star Wars movie was released. Although it was not Lucasfilm that gave birth to the idea of May the 4th, that doesn't stop the film company from embracing the said concept. From then on, May 4th became a special day for Star Wars fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3ROQJ-Vvy4 What to Do on May the 4th With a celebration that transcends age, country, and gender, both individual entities and corporations won't let go of the opportunity to offer fun things to do during this day. You can find businesses offering great deals and merchandises for Star Wars fans. You have movies, gadgets, and collectibles from Amazon. Lego offers a toy line dedicated for Star Wars aficionados. Best Buys, ThinkGeek, Build-A-Bear, and Pottery Barn Kids also have discounts or promos available only during Star Wars Day.

Since May the 4th falls on a Friday this year, it becomes the best “day-before opener” for the event that happens every first Saturday of May – the Free Comic Book Day. Participating in this activity entitles you to a free Star Wars complementary comic book entitled “Star Wars Adventures.” Lastly, you can crawl inside a blanket-and-pillow fortress together with your kids and binge watch the entire Star Wars series/movies. Know the right order to watch first before you marathon the saga though. Once done with that, you can continue with the animated shorts published in the Star Wars' YouTube channel.
