Phil couldn’t explain it but this woman. Melinda. There was something about her. Something so familiar, so accessible, so lovable. He couldn’t put his finger on it. Perhaps this was just what falling in love at first sight felt like. Perhaps he was delusional. But something about her. It felt like he’d known her forever. His whole life. There were little things that she would do. A flick of the hair. A smirk. It would send tingles down his spine, a smile across his face and a million butterflies would dance within in his chest. But all of it felt familiar. Like he’d seen it a million times before. Maybe there was another world... They got partnered together as she was able to fight and he wasn’t, they made a good team. Although pretty handy with a gun, he didn’t think himself capable of actually fighting someone hand to hand. May was good at that. But again, there was something oddly familiar about them being together, partners. May kicking ass and him watching on with amazement. She was an incredible woman. “Looks like you’re stuck with me.” he chuckled, turning to her in the hallway of the bunker. A goofy grin on his face as he tilted his head a little. “Sorry about that.”
