Meaning of Maïmouna
Etymology: Happy, under the divine protection (Arabic).
Lively, communicative and adaptable, Maïmouna is a charming and likeable character who is sociable enough but reserved at the same time. She is neither excessively introverted nor extroverted: self-expression is second nature to her. She adores conversation and exchange - just as long as her privacy remains intact. A little wary, she’s nonetheless frank and direct. She seeks security and reassurance, criteria which must be fulfilled before she considers investing herself in a personal relationship; however once her trust has been gained, she is delightfully bubbly and talkative. Her independence is very dear to her and she is not immune to flights of fancy. Cheerful and optimistic, she has a terrific sense of humour, is playful and pleasure-seeking - she certainly knows how to have fun and occupy a position of influence and focalisation among her peers. She is curious and very fond of acquiring knowledge, but the downside to this is that her energy can become rather dissipated.
Often of an intellectual nature, Maïmouna’s mind is built for analysis, introspection and research. She loves anything that is out of the ordinary or avant-garde. Romantically, she is terribly elusive: she can be secretive and mysterious one minute, irascible and passionate the next, capable of making all the moves only to turn on her heels and walk off in the opposite direction, apparently no longer interested... Could she be afraid of getting too involved and loving too much, thereby leaving herself vulnerable to emotional pain and rejection?
That last paragraph though. *-* I don’t think my mum could have picked a better name for me. It’s actually kind of scary.
