What a menacing but polite looking young man
Umberto Gonzales of Heroic Hollywood was questioned on a story. The results were... ugly. This is an incomplete record as the kerfuffle was widespread and branched many times, but this is the core. Click to the Tweets and sort thru them for a full accounting.
Sooooo... on Monday the Power Rangers twittersphere had a bit of a run in with “Scoop Journalist” Umberto Gonzales, over his breaking revelation of supposed plot details of the new MMPR Movie.
Whether or not they are remotely accurate is anyone’s guess, as his story is the root story sourced by other articles on the subject, and makes no reference to any credible source for the information... and also the plot reads like a bad fanfic. As many were soon to learn, in the world of “Scoop Journalism” timeliness is prized above accuracy, as one can always say that the fast shift of Hollywood was responsible for their breaking stories later turning out untrue, but one can never go back and become the first to drop the scoop. In other words, it’s the journalistic equivalent of being the guy that comments “FIRST!” on everything.
Given this, in the end this article likely would have been dismissed in the end as unremarkable, were it not for Mr. Gonzales’ reaction to discovering that a not insignificant portion of the Twitter PR Fandom was taking his article with a side of salt...

Due to a mandate from the Council of Common Sense, DB has been ordered to stand down and get some sleep. His regularly scheduled insanity will resume afterwards. We apologize for the delay. --Marisa
