I switched back to the Wolff household while Morgana was at work at the plaza and who eventually shows up to shop? Mayor Michelle!

Using NRAAS Selector, I right-clicked on her immediately but sadly there was NO painting in either her personal or family inventories. Bummer! I also forgot to check her household income to see if the money was deducted in spite of not actually getting the painting.

Not to worry though, because who should come along shortly but our favorite little shopper Dallis Breckenridge!

This time I made sure to check their family funds before he completed his purchase and YES the money is getting deducted even though they don’t actually get a painting out of it (and I did also switch to him to check). That’s kind of a bummer but I suppose it has to do with the fact that paintings are custom objects with no set price (as it depends on the skill of the painter sim).

I’m also thinking that EA made this set so that sims who purchase items don’t actually have those items in their inventories? I suppose they were afraid that it could really clog up the game. So I’ll live with it since there are lots of items they DO actually have after purchasing with this mod. And at least they get the paintings when you are actively playing them and direct them to buy.

On a positive note I don’t even go into Buy mode to replace the paintings now. With Testingcheats enabled, I just ctrl-shift-click on the restocking sign to delete it, then open the register in Morgana’s art studio and click on a painting, then drag the painting from the sim’s inventory to the wall. This works with any sim you are actively playing.

It’s summer in my game and kids have the summer off from school. After Michelle left for work, I had Hal tutor Dallis to try to improve his grades when he returns to school in the Fall.

After work I sent Michelle to the Wolff’s Shopping Plaza to pick up a few things, including one of Morgana’s paintings for one of the kids’ rooms. It’s currently hanging in Zach’s room.

As soon as Michelle returned home, she autonomously picked up Zach and took him outside to where Hal and Dallis were playing catch. I had her start chatting with Hal and Dallis autonomously went over to Zach and started chatting with him (this is another interaction in Arsil’s mod). Very cute! 

(Note: I found that telescope in their family inventory; one of them - probably Dallis! - purchased that at the Wolff’s Bookstore and Gifts Shop.)

You can just barely see them all at the back of the house near that fir tree in the shot below; I’m pretty sure Michelle is asking Hal what he thought of the Wolff’s new garage next door and whether he thought they should build a garage, too. Ha ha.

It's about time I introduced the mayor of Glenvale. Her name is Michelle Breckenridge and she is married to Hal Breckenridge. They live in another Sears Kit Home I built (@jenba did a fantastic version of this same house).

They met while in college and after they graduated Michelle went back to live in Riverview with Hal. That’s how they later heard about the opportunities in Glenvale and decided to move here. They have two sons, Dallis the oldest, and Zach, who is a toddler.

This screenshot below pretty much sums up their relationship. lolz

When I switched to their household, I met up with Michelle, Hal, and Dallis at the Wolff Shopping Plaza. When I sent them home, Hal as the last one I clicked ‘go home’ on and I got the pop-up that says ‘Zach needs a babysitter - stay here or call sitter'. I picked “stay here” (because I had no idea why I was getting that message) and Hal autonomously went to the Gilscarbo's to pick up Zach. I'm guessing the game deposited him there because of the NRAAS Go Here mod settings that make the game use the Daycare instead of babysitters.

I must say, I thought this was really cool! It probably only really works on inactive households but I love it!

And Hal (autonomously) bought one of Morgana’s paintings before I sent him home so I put it in their dining room.
