Welcome To the New Realm Cowpokes (pt 2) || The Deathslinger + Micah Bell + Dutch van der Linde Headcanons

FO: So we've been informed that the newest Tumblr update may have caused issues with Chrome users sending us asks. I would like to apologize to anyone who's been having any problems doing so. It might be our theme, but we are honestly unsure of what the problem is.

I opted to write HCs instead of a fic because I figure the situation would be similar to Arthur's. It felt like this would be a better than writing a whole fic for Dutch and Micah each. I hope you enjoy what we came up with~! ^w^

 Like with Arthur's visit, Caleb's first instinct is to hunt down and the intruder and either send them away or shoot them.

 Little did he know his urge to shoot on sight would be so much stronger with Dutch.

 Just the mere appearance of the one gang leader would send Caleb into quite the fit of rage. Dutch's style is quite similar to the wealthy Henry Bayshore who once used Caleb and stole his inventions.

As Dutch is exploring to learn more about the realm that lured him in with it's old Western charm he will encounter a close call with Caleb's harpoon, his only warning being the sound of gunfire. However, he manages to narrowly dodge the barbed spear.

Caleb will approach as he reels in his harpoon, readying to aim and shoot once more.

Dutch will attempt to use that "silver tongue" of his to get himself out of this mess.

 "Come on now. Can't we just talk this out like gentlemen?" Dutch will ask in a slightly defensive tone.

Sadly, Caleb's rage is too far gone.

 Dutch has two options at this point. Leave now, or get shot.

Dutch being Dutch, he will continue to attempt to reason with Caleb.

 And Dutch being Dutch, he will have to run out of Glenvale with Caleb hot on his heels ready to shoot when given the opportunity.

Micah Bell

 Micah doesn't like to stick around the other survivors. Mostly because several of them annoy him. So he spends his time off trial wondering the trails of the Entity's world.

 Like the others, he is drawn into Glenvale by its comforting familiarity. 

So he easily stumbles upon Dead Dawg in search of a drink.

 When Caleb notices him rummaging about the saloon he grows irritated and concerned that the other might be searching for something to steal. 

So he wastes no time and approaching and aiming at Micah.

 Caleb will start off by giving Micah the chance to get the hell out like he did with Arthur, but when Micah turns and Caleb spots his guns he will quickly cock and aim his rifle.

 "Woah now big fella." Micah will say in a slightly shaky tone as he raises his hands defensively.

 "You another killer?" Caleb demands as he points the spear toward Micah's hips in reference to his guns.

 Micah will deny the accusation, pulling one of his guns from its holster and aiming to the side.

 He cocks it and pulls the trigger to show it isn't loaded. The Entity had been kind enough to leave him with his most prized possessions but had removed the bullets to render him helpless.

 Micah insists he was only here because it reminded him of home, and he hoped to find some whisky or bourbon.

 Caleb will lower his weapon and retrieve a bottle of whisky for Micah. He hands it to him and demands he leave and not come back.

 Micah will take the bottle with a chuckle as he assures Caleb he will stay away, but this is Micah we're talking about. We all know he will be back for more at some point and likely get his killing done.

It's hard to believe, given the flash flooding in Aberdeenshire, but yesterday was a stunner of a day in the Lomond Hills. And I really couldn't have asked for better weather or for better company on the fifth of my six 'President's Walks' for Ramblers Scotland :)

I planned a winding, undulating and quite challenging route that eventually took us up to the top of West Lomond, but not before we'd explored its many nooks & crannies and seen the most that this wee hill has to offer

The couple returned home after the wedding. They hope to travel abroad as soon as they save up enough money but for now they’re staying right here in Glenvale.

Almost as soon as they walked in the door, Mason got frisky.

“I could just eat you up!”

“Ahhh! That tickles!” Marissa shrieked.

“You’re adorable! Let’s go to bed.” 

“But I’m not really feeling sleepy yet”, Marissa said.

“Who said anything about sleeping?” Mason ducked as she playfully swatted at him.

They kissed then went upstairs to their bedroom.

How do you tell if it's a Scottish rockfall?

It felt like the whole of Scotland was out in the hills today....and with good reason! Cool but calm, with lovely warm sunshine and hardly any wind. I did think about heading farther afield but I decided to stay local, and instead recce a walk I'm thinking of leading for the Ramblers later in the year - a thorough investigation of West Lomond, taking in the Devil's Burdens, Glenvale, the Bunnet Stane and the looooong steep haul up the eastern escarpment. Steep as it is, the zig-zag ascent from the Bunnet Stane isn't the steepest way up West Lomond. That honour goes to the monstrous 'direttissima' line that goes straight up the slopes above the bunnet. Scrambling on grass! ;-)

On Saturday morning Mason got up, got dressed, and went downstairs to make some phone calls before Marissa woke up. After she came downstairs and they finished breakfast, Mason approached her and said, "I'm really looking forward to our wedding and making a lifetime commitment to you; to us! Would you marry me ... today?"

Marisa didn't even have to think about it. "Yes!", she replied.

A few scant hours later, they stopped off at the bakery to purchase a wedding cake and then went on to the church. They weren’t sure how many would show up on such a late notice but the pews were filled.

Reverend Young officiated then the couple recited the vows they wrote for each other.

“What a lovely ceremony!”, some of the guests were heard to say.

A new couple has moved to Glenvale. Meet Melissa Gaton and Mason Sheppard. They bought a house together in the Parkview Addition and are settling in to their new home. The Parkview Addition is where Dr. Arden Karson, the Gilscarbos, and Librarian Constance Shelly bought homes. By the way, there’s actually no park yet but of course there are plans for one! ;)

They’re college sweethearts - actually they met way before they attended college. And here I was thinking they were already married, but nope - not yet. 

Maybe they will be the first couple to be married at Glenvale’s church!
