turned some art into risograph prints. the second one was extremely trial-and-error and has some mistakes but it was a lot of fun ^_^

powerscaling jojo characters based on which ones would be most culturally significant/known enough to have a wikipedia article
in a potential smash 6 where the roster is rebooted to reset all expectations, i can’t get behind keeping the original 12 for legacy pass reasons. it’s pretty common to see them kept in roster reboot pitch vids from what i’ve seen. i believe if smash 6 were to be a reboot, the legacy pass has liked. expired. if you want a celebration of the roster built up since 1999 we have smash ultimate, ya know (and i’m a staunch believer that smash 6 must go in a very different direction from ultimate so that it’s not directly in its shadow).
all this to say, let’s stop kidding ourselves. kill off jigglypuff #FORREAL
regarding ellipsus’s plus update (ftr i don’t mind that they’re offering a paid plan, it would be hopelessly idealistic to assume it’d stay free forever), there’s something about how ai fatigue rubber bands in the opposite direction where constant posturing and manifestos about how AI is Bad is just a different form of exposure to ai that people can also get sick of. this drive to implement features that let you Epically Own The Bots* before anything actually intuitive to the writing process is just rlly performative and strange on ellipsus’s part.
the intent behind some kind of transparency feature or publishing your stats i suppose has good intentions (it is opt-in after all) and is ultimately whatever to me as someone who doesn’t share my writing but it does contribute to the “guilty until proven innocent” approach people, especially the baddest-faithest of critics, have when interacting with art in a world of ai. why are we pushing people to be more scared of being called a fake?
anyone who’s heard of ellipsus and opts to use it despite it clearly still being a work-in-progress likely already knows about the flaws of mainstream word processors and ai. an article or two on the social media page breaking down the team’s stance opposing ai is one thing, but eventually anti-ai manifestos became all that was posted on their social pages (when i was checking them to see if they are even teasing any highly requested features coming soon). and now it has crystallized in the ultimate performative “i am not using ai i am a Good Person” feature. and it’s like, girl we know you hate ai! we hate it too! that’s why we’re here!
i can’t think of a less extreme comparison so just bear with me, but it’s sorta like that adage where your love for an oppressed group should outweigh your hatred for their oppressors. you can dunk jkr in a quote tweet all you want but do you actually help trans people’s quality of life in the real world? etc.
you can write and write about how ai is bad for writers all you want, but do you actually prioritize creating a tool that will enhance the creative writing process?
*if you’re ootl this is regarding the emboss feature in the plus plan which, while it’s not spyware like people doomed about initially, is still just plain stupid and doesn’t suit some people’s writing process in ellipsus but that’s a whole other can of worms, the point is it’s just a seal and published stats that Prove your work is Human Made™️. i’m using a footnote this time cuz i became extremely aware recently that i abuse parenthetical asides way too much. imagine reading a paragraph and this block was added at the end of one sentence. lol
im collecting pics for my penny collage and apparently my girl was featured on a spread next to hatsune god damn miku it’s all connected
