30 Days of Cosplay! Day 7: The character I've cosplayed that is most like me is probably Mayor Intern Dana from Welcome to Nightvale. When I first started listening, I really resonated with how she handled problems and kind of just went through life unfazed by the weird shit around her, even embracing it much like Cecil does. She's the only Intern worth mentioning at all ever that wasn't killed by the position, and became Mayor after a grueling race between Hyram McDaniels, the literal five headed dragon, and the Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home, a race that she wasnt even a part of. But hey, that's politics! Also, if Khoshek wasn't permanently suspended in the men's bathroom, he would totally follow her around, just saying. I got to be Dana for about a year or running the con circuit and performing with a bunch of my friends. We had one of the best WTNV panels, to the point where people started copying our stuff amking their own panels. We did an in character Q&A, but we actually got together and rehearsed answers to guaranteed questions and planned small skit segments when prompted by either questions or time. It was a lot of fun! We started a SwampCon, went to FreeCon, MetroCon, and back to SwampCon for our last show.
