I haven't really written about Pink Satan previously, but I feel like I should as they are easily one of the most interesting and quite possibly the most notorious group of the very short lived "sexy idol" fad of the early/mid 1990s. Though I've seen the group's name romanised as Pink Saturn, on all of the group's official merchandise and in all the magazines they have appeared in, the name is romanised as Pink Satan, so I'll go with that.

The main gimmick of the group was their extremely skimpy costumes, which not only included a "T-Back" type bottom, but also a "T-Front", which had minimal coverage to say the least. As a result, the group frequently appeared on late night adult TV shows that were popular at the time including the infamous "Gilgamesh Night".

From 1993 through to 1995, the group appeared in various men's magazines and also made two videos. The first was "Pururun Sanjuushi Pairanger" which included a story where they were a super sentai type group. Due to short length of the direct to video story, it was intercut with documentary footage of cosplay and other sexy idol related promotions and events. The second video was "Pink Satan Has Arrived", a 45 minute video containing footage of them in various costumes. In addition they made an appearance in Daiei’s tokusatsu heroine comedy "Cosplay Warrior Cutie Knight", which was also heavily influenced by the sexy idol fad of the time.

Unlike other sexy idol groups, Pink Satan did not release any CD singles (but did sing the theme song in "Pururun Sanjuushi Pairanger") and unusually, unlike all of their contemporaries, they published no photo books. Other merchandise released by the group included a CD-ROM titled "Cutie Promotion featuring Pink Satan in Yokohama", various phone cards and oddly a set of 1/6 scale PVC garage kits of the members of the group

As the group progressed, members left and were replaced by new members, eventually rebranding as New Pink Satan, whom disbanded soon after. Their last media appearance was in October 1996, well after the peak of the sexy idol fad.
