Guess what time it is? Time to show us your homes! For this task, we would like to see what it is like inside your muses home. It does not have to be anything super luxurious we just want to see how your muse lives their life! Please keep in mind your characters neighbor/income.

mother: guadalupe espinoza // deceased, used to own her own little mexican food buisness, zahra misses her every single day and wishes that she was still alive. marcia diaz // forty seven, step-mother, the woman she set her dad up w/because she wanted him to be happy. very sweet and zahra loves cracking jokes w/her.
siblings: she doesn’t have siblings through jahaal and guadalupe but after jahaal maried marcia, she was graced with two step-siblings that she loves with her whole heart. her step-sister is the exact same age as her and her best friend while her step-brother is 16 and the biggest pain in the ass but still an angel. one day i’ll write the wc for her step-sister when i’m not being #lazy.

have you ever had a same sex experience: plenty! but she’s found that girls expect her to act more like a dude given her profession and she’s like nah we going back to dick.
do you ever want to get married/have children: she would love to get married and have kids one day. preferably a few because she hated being an only child.
what do you look for in a potential significant other: definitely someone that’s fun-loving and isn’t scared to do things no matter how weird they may sound at first. loyalty and a good sense of humor. intelligence is a big thing too. and someone that won’t give up on her when she starts getting scared of something real since she has commitment issues.

biggest fear: missing out on her potential forever because she tends to run away from anything good in her life all due to the fact that she wants to make her mother proud of her. and doesn’t think she can or ever will.
what’s more important- sex or intimacy: both. obvs there’s days where all she wants is sex but there’s something more personal about intimacy that she craves every single time but never gets.
do you believe in true love: she does but she doesn’t think it’ll happen to her specifically.

do you care what others think of you: not in the slightest. girl was a tomboy for most of her life so you learn to stop caring about empty thoughts of those with empty heads.
how do you deal with stress: she cuddles her dogs or goes on long runs. often times with her dogs ‘cause cosmo and wanda are basically her children and she does anything w/them.

If your character could change one physical detail about herself, what would it be? a part of her wishes that she was taller. she stands at 5′4″ and she doesn’t exactly wear heels often since it’s a bit impossible to work in heels when you’re working on cars all day. even when she goes out to a bar she refuses to wear heels.
What is your character’s favorite physical activity? swimming. catch her wanting to do nothing than swim in the ocean and enjoy the feeling of weightlessness and freedom. she’s also always down for a good run.
What is your character’s least favorite physical activity? she’s not a fan of a weight circuit when she’s at the gym. she does it because she knows it’ll do her body a lot of good but she hates every second of it.
Your character comes face-to-face with her worst enemy. What is her first reaction? punch the bitch. zahra has no patience for people that have wronged her in the past so she wouldn’t hesitate or bother playing nice because that’s already been done. time for violence instead.

Your character keeps a photo album of memories from her lifetime. If she could only keep one photo, what would it depict? it would probably be when she was a child and her parents took her to disneyland and she somehow convinced jahaal and guadalupe to get matching outfits and ears so they could pose in front of the disney castle. it was the happiest she’d ever been and she still associates anything disney to that trip.
Does your character keep any pets? two doggos and fish! she has a three year old bernese mountain dog named cosmo, a black shiba inu named wanda and two large fish named timmy and poof. don’t take her anywhere where there’s a dog or she will try to adopt it. just don’t do it.
What is your character’s fondest childhood memory? her fondest childhood memory would probably be when her dad lifted her up to sit on a stool as she sat there and watched him work on his car. she was small and wide eyed and just kept asking questions because she wanted to know how everything worked. fast forward a few years and she’s a teenager trying to actually convince her dad that he needs a part replaced.
Someone asks your character to describe her family. How do they answer? Perfect. That’s all she would say. She wouldn’t go into any details, she wouldn’t walk off. She would simply smile and say that it’s perfect. Those here and those passed.
Is your character a morning person, a night owl, or something else entirely? definitely more of a morning person. she likes waking up early, going on a run with her dogs and then coming home before anyone has woken up to then head off to work. there’s something about the crisp morning air that gets her blood going. but she does have night owl tendencies now and again.
What is your character’s least favorite color? grey.
A stranger makes a crude comment to your character. How do they react? Depends on what the comment is but most of the time, she’ll resort to punching them in the face. There’s those times, however, where she will elegantly string together some words where she undermines their opinion and comment only to make them feel like nothing at all. All done with a smirk on her face. If she’s feeling #spicy.
What mythological figure best personifies your character? The hippocampus; a creature that is half horse but has the tail of a sea monster.
Hi friends! To get into our next writing prompt, we decided to make things a bit different and help you get creative! Since music is the way to the soul we wanted to hear what music defines your characters. It can be a song that inspired, defines or even just relates to them. This will be the task for the month of May. While you are not required to do it we do encourage you all to participate.
1. My father? Well, I don't really know much about my father but I hate him, I hate him a lot. He's a fucking asshole, when my mother got pregnant with me he totally ditched her and left her to fend for herself which even for a high school student is pretty immature and absolutely terrible. What I love about him? Nothing. Except maybe his eyes, that's where I got the colour of mine, so thanks for everything "Dad", thanks a lot.
2. My mother is my everything, she is such a strong, independent woman and I completely admire her, even after everything she's been through she is still hanging in there and she still tends to struggle, ya know, with the diner and stuff but I plan on going to college and getting a good degree to make myself successful so I can make up for all the years she lost that she should have been enjoying. I hope she finds someone nice to take care of her once I'm moved out working on my career, I don't want her to end up alone.
3. I don't have any siblings and I don't want any.
4. My mom wasn't too strict considering she didn't always have the time for me as a child, balancing school and a kid isn't quite easy.
5. I wouldn't quite consider myself overprotected, like I said before, she had school so I was in day-care a lot and she worked a lot to be able to support me so I had a pretty loose childhood I would say.
6. I felt affection of course, my mom was, and still is, loving and caring and I wouldn't consider myself feeling 'rejected' but most of my life growing up she was busy a lot with school, work and the diner which sometimes makes me feel a bit distant from her sometimes but we have a great relationship and good trust with each other so I think it makes up for it.
7. We obviously weren't and aren't the wealthiest family... Seeing as my mom works a lot you would think we have some extra spending money around but it's mostly just enough to put food on the table and some of the things I need for school, but not all of it, I have what I need and I'm not complaining, I'm going to start working at the diner this summer too.
8. I'm not religious, I don't mind people who are.
9. Honestly, I could care less about politics but personally if I were to pick a political party to go by I would pick democrat.
10. I think I'm quite people smart, I'm good at figuring out how people feel or what they might be thinking--not psychic, no way but I guess I'm just good with seeing people in different ways then others do.
11. I would consider myself pretty smart, I get a B average which I would say it pretty good, I'm sure I could get A's but I tend to get a bit lazy sometimes.
12. I can get picky about grammar and spelling, it's a sort of consistency I like where it's just a set of rules and it helps me focus, so I'm pretty sure I get those kinds of things right.
13. School is alright, I mean, it's obviously not great, no school is fun, it's a task, it will never be an enjoyable but I definitely don't think it's as bad as some people say it is. The teachers are fine, the other students are fine, some annoying of course but I'm not too hard to get along with, I have friends, everyone else has theirs, I just have a sort of neutral opinion on school.
14. I took Tennis for awhile, wasn't my thing, I tend to just focus on getting work done and helping out at the diner, I especially won't have time next time I'm in school because then I'm going to have it as a job, not just a helper. I also took some piano lessons, I play some stuff, but that's pretty much it, I practice now and then but nothing fancy.
Birthmarks: A small birthmark above the belly button which is close to the shape of Mongolia.
Disfigurements: Left foot is a quarter of a size bigger that the other.
Scars: A couple with secret meanings behind them, a small scar on outer right ankle from breaking it falling off the monkey bars when I was six, a scar on my left thumb from cutting potatoes and long, thin scar on my left thigh from when a cat was pulled from both it's sleep and my lap.
Nicknames: None, other than the usually daughterly nicknames.
Part Two:
How do they usually dress? Usually a sweater or casual blouse with jeans, nothing fancy, no particular style, just whatever I find looks best on me although sometimes I am a bit flustered in the mornings and tend to look a bit frazzled, usually fixed up after lunch when I realize how bad I look.
What do they wear to sleep? T-shirt and underwear.
Do they wear jewelry? Just the occasional necklace with certain outfits.
Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change? I wish I looked a bit more kept, as I said I tend to have somewhat hectic mornings most of the time on my part and I wish I had a better way of managing things so I could look my best every day instead of 2-3 days a week.
What to they smell like? I usually don't smell like anything in particular, mostly just a mixture of laundry soap (unless the shirt I wear has already been worn) and shampoo. Nothing fancy. Why? Mostly just because I don't have the time for that and because no one besides my mom is every close enough to smell me besides accidental run-ins so, why try?
Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance? I usually don't have a very good clue of how I look unless it's one of my good days, then I usually look pretty simple though, I'm sure the rest of the world sees me a bit chaotic looking sometimes.
