My problems with the Mazelee family

It’s obvious that they love their kids but it seems like they use their kids as a science experiment on what kind of life that they want rather than anything stable. Off on a whim to California and homeschooling even though she doesn’t know how to and took her sister to help. Everything “new” that they do to live their best lives in abandoned 3 months later. 

They moved to Venice and Alena first thought was to bike around the city with her kids which, yeah everyone does here but not with 6 kids. Have you seen traffic in LA? She should have at least one car for an emergency which she does now but the first plan was to go completely carless.

Also, how can someone so “educated” be so ignorant? She didn’t want to move into a house in Cali that had Buddha statues because it may be haunted??? Also, a number of other sketchy things like someone asked a while back “Would you date your rapist id the sex was good” and she responded, “yeah lol”.  Like????? 

Her sister is also sketchy as hell. She shaves her little girls head for the reason of “I think beauty some come from within and as a person” or whatever and that logic is fine but she doesn’t shave her own hair. It’s like using your kids to make a point rather than making it yourself. She also has the weird “educated but ignorant” vibe Alena has going on

How am I dealing with isolating?

Well, by obsessively following mixed race youtube couples!!  

It’s very interesting to watch the cultural differences they experience or, terribly, sometimes outright racism.

CALLING KOREAN WIFE ANOTHER GIRL'S NAME PRANK  -  In the above video the husband, who is adorable, unwittingly presents a very good example of what gaslighting is.  They have other videos visiting with each of the grandparents, who all seem very supportive and loving.  Feel good stuff!

Surprise Gift for my Unsuspecting Mother  -  These two and their baby daughter are so sweet, but I’ve been obsessed with them talking about their parents who don’t accept their relationship.  His parents are traditional Korean and super racist and refuse to acknowledge his wife because she’s part black.  Her dad is Muslim and wouldn’t attend their wedding when he found out the husband wouldn’t convert to Islam.  It’s heart-breaking, but they are sweet and happy despite all that.  

I just realized that all the above couples have a Korean person, interesting...
