You & I || Grace & Owen
The Great Hall was a blur of people talking, dancing, and laughing while scattered around the edges were the aurors in their dark clothes. It felt like they were being evaluated, and Owen shifted nervously in his suit. He never wore a suit - he had had to owl his parents to ask for it to be sent to him, and with the help of a house elf, had managed to extend the sleeves and legs a little to match his height. He had come alone, mostly because he didn't think he had any right to claim Grace for the whole night, and things with Autumn were still a little tense after their kiss. As Owen replaced his cup on the punch table, he glanced up and spotted Grace through the crowd, standing on the side of the dance floor looking out at them all. She looked perfect: long dress and pale skin seeming to glow under the lights that floated overhead, and Owen didn't hesitate before he sidled over to her. "Alright?" he asked, nudging her with his elbow and leaning casually against the wall beside her, not quite able to keep his eyes off of her.
