This course provides the fundamentals of human resource management (HRM). Topics covered are organizational psychology, human interaction, individual effectiveness and social issues. Other areas include human resource planning, strategic management, organizational structure, legal environment and organizational staffing.

EBM 521 Compensation & Benefit Management
This course focuses on how organizations use compensation and benefits to achieve their operational & strategic goals. It explores compensation design, analysis, and evaluation. The design of pay systems, paying for performance, and the administration of pay systems are appraised and assessed. This course is a critical part of MBA HR course as compensation and benefit management is an important task for every HR Manager.

EBM 522 Industrial Relations & Labor Laws
This course focuses on the management of employees, both individually and collectively. It demonstrates how individual relations & labor law remain a central feature of organizational life. This course examines the conceptual and practical aspects of employee relations at the macro and micro levels.

EBM 523 Performance Management
This course is integral to MBA HRM course as it provides a powerful combination of training, communicating, and motivating skills that will enable the students to successfully challenge their staff to reach higher levels of performance. It will focus on understanding the performance management process, legal basis for performance management practice; effectively conduct performance appraisals, understanding the relationship between performance management and staff development.
