Shane wasn’t used to being the center of attention. In fact, his entire life had been an exercise in blending in, in drawing as little attention to himself as he possibly could. So, now, attending an event that was specifically geared towards celebrating him and his fiance... Shane wasn’t sure how to handle that. “Oh, hi,” he greeted, turning to the person besides him. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here tonight.”

Allowing James to be responsible for literally ANYTHING was always a terrible idea. Especially when it involved food. He’d been excited when his boyfriend gave him permission to be in charge of the whipped cream on their little pumpkin pie stand but within an hour, James was fairly sure that more of the cream had gone into their belly than on any of the pies. Whenever the stall was quiet, James found themselves squirting cream onto their finger and then eating it. Even at the ripe old age of twenty-five, James was still like a child with sticky fingers.
As he stood there with his back turned away, James decided just to go all out and squirt it straight into their mouth before feeling a presence behind them. With a guilty look on their face, James turned and swallowed before giving a mischievous grin. “You didn’t see that, right?”

what the fuck was pumpkin beer anyway? aksel wondered as he walked away from a stall and examined the drink he’d just bought. he couldn’t have passed it up, it was too intriguing for that. but should it exist? tough to say. by the time he found an empty bench to crack open his beer, it had gotten fizzy and spilled over his hands. aksel quickly took a sip but the damage was done and the liquid was all over his clothes. ‘great.’ he remarked before waving over someone walking by, ‘hey! be honest, how badly do i smell? should i go home and change? also pumpkin beer? tastes like shit. don’t try it.’

Jill wasn’t sure how they had gotten up on stage. Whether they had been pushed up there by their friends or they bulldozed their way up after hearing the song being played, it didn't matter. With some off beat dancing and a tone deaf voice, Jill was putting the show of their life. Was it good? No not at all, but they were living it up. Once the song finished, Jill ended it with a big bow, hair flying all over the place as they did. “Okay, okay.” they had their hand on their chest as they hoped off stage, cheeks flushed from all the effort they put up there. “I think I’m done. Do you... do you have some water?.”
‘ the question isn’t am i going to get my face painted . the question is what am i going to get my face painted . ’ now that she’s a few ciders deep , penny feels like she can actually start to enjoy the festival . and one thing about penny lane : she commits to the bit ! in this case , part of that means getting her face painted . later it’ll mean carving a pumpkin so intricate she gets pissed off and destroys it . or maybe it’ll mean throwing up after one of the rides . we really just don’t know yet . ‘ i don’t want a skull or a ghost or whatever . i want something actually dope as fuck . ’
WELCOME TO MOORBROOKE’S ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL 2022!
The summer is over and the colder days have finally arrived which means it’s now time for Moorbrooke to celebrate the start of fall with the annual Fall Festival! For a week, the town will be filled with fun fall festivities for everyone in the town to enjoy. Whether it be pumpkin carving, munching on tasty caramel apples, drinking delicious fall inspired hot drinks, browsing through homemade trinkets by our very own Moorbrooke locals or having fun on the rides, Moorbrooke welcomes everyone to experience the fun!
Take a look at all the fun activities that’ll be occurring throughout the week...
FOOD & DRINK STALLS: There will be a variety of food and drink stalls at the festival! Teddy Montgomery and James Reynolds will be running a homemade pumpkin pie stall, Vivienne Parihk will have a stall filled with delicious goodies straight from Delia’s Cafe, Carly Ortiz will have a stall with all her tasty home-baked treats, Nassar Ramzy will have a selection of appetisers from Infusion, and Cecily Lightwood and will both be running her own food stall.
CRAFT STALLS: No Fall festival would be complete without tons of fun crafts for both adults and children alike! Enzo Di Traglia and Jackie Lockwood will have a crafts stall to make felt wreaths and will also be selling Jackie’s own autumn wreaths and plants. Xavier Bhandari and Cassidy Min will also be assisting with face painting, and there will be other stalls for pumpkin carving, making autumn-inspired drinks and decorating cookies and more!
MERCHANDISE STALLS: The lovely locals of Moorbrooke will be selling their beautiful handmade trinkets, from jewellery, to knitted clothes, to candles and scents, to stationary, to household decorations, to plants, and more!
MISC STALLS: Alongside the other fun stalls, Sylvia De La Fuente will be running an adoption booth to help foster kittens find homes and Felicity Pierce will be helping out at Roecliffe Theater’s Booth, handing out flyers for upcoming performances.

DAVID ALEXANDER (HE/HIM) is a MALE, THIRTY FOUR year old music teacher who moved to Moorbrooke when he was 9. They were born on June 5 and right now, they are currently residing in REDGRAVE GROVE. It has been said that they look suspiciously like CHRIS EVANS and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose LEARN TO FLY by the Foo Fighters.
Nadine couldn’t say that she was intimate friends with either of grooms being celebrated at tonight’s event, but when she’d heard that the men were in need of a location to host their engagement party, she’d offered use of Brinie for a very small nominal fee. After all, what else was a committed community member such as herself supposed to do in the face of need? Plus, she’d never turn down the publicity. Nadine had made her rounds, ensuring that everything was working in the way they should. So, now, she was intent on enjoying herself as much as possible. “So,” she said, as she slid into a chair, “are you having a good time so far?”
