It's actually a small distortion of the mbrane field caused when a much smaller mbrane makes contact with the primary one, resulting in a distortion of physical laws within a limited space/time location - the Universe changes its rules for a time in a certain area - but overall the normative vibrational state of the primary mbrane reasserts itself, drowning out the distorted vibration caused by contact with the smaller mbrane field, leading to normative physical laws coming back into effect over time or at least it seems to happen over a period of time to a temporally locked observer - it really happens in a state of "no time" and observation moves through it.
