They drink from this mug whenever Crowley shows up unannounced. They claim it’s completely unrelated to him arriving, and it’s just a funny mug. Yet they still reach for it every time they prepare a drink for themselves while he’s talking.

This is the mug creates a palpable image in my mind. MC answering the door in the middle of the night in their PJ’s, groggy. They’ve been doing late night work. The ghosts are all surrounding them to make the house seem spookier and to try to deter whoever is at the door. MC can’t be assed to make themselves scary, so they got the mug as a way to jokingly deter people who come to them at night, but the ghosts are giving their scare factor their all, so you’ve got scary ghosts all looking tough and mean, Grim giving his all to come across as scary, and then just a tired MC in the middle with this mug and a look of exhaustion.
