First Date

The sky was clear. The air was crisp.

It was the perfect temperature. Not too hot, not too cold. Ray remembered the times he struggled with controlling his powers, and he chuckled at himself. He's made so much progress since then.

He had set his alarm to 8:00 a.m., but he was too excited to even stay asleep till then. He grabbed his list, glad that Silas had not found this one, and slowly started checking items off as he completed those tasks.

Ray went next-door to Kent and Alvy's room. Again, he laughed as he recalled sneaking in there the first time Rina came over. Gladly, Kent and he are better friends now. Kent happily helped Ray pick out his outfit and cologne, calling Ray his "young apprentice."

Of course, a first date would not be complete without the teasing. Silas made sure to do so as he helped Ray wash his Corolla.

As for Alvy, he was kind enough to check up with Ray throughout the day. With his perfect memory, he made sure that Ray did not forget anything that he would regret.

Late in the afternoon, he was ready to pick up his girlfriend. Girlfriend. He couldn't help but smile at the word. As he drove off, he called his girlfriend to make sure she was ready for their first date.

Rain

"You feel that?" Micheal held out his hand while asking the girl at his side. Her nose twitched as scoffed. "Yea. it's 'bout to rain. What of it?" She said, not really seeing what Micheal was getting at nor being too sure if she wanted to. The first drop hit Mikey's palm. Then another, followed by another as the downpour began. Rina began to look around for a place to go all the while wondering why the redhead goof was still just standing there with his hand out. Then she noticed it. The biggest smile his face to stretch. He began rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet until he reached his tippy toes then looked at her with a most cheeky grin.

Rina started to back away with a suspicious glare, slowing shaking her head. But before she knew it, her hand was in his and they were running. The water was pouring down and it wasn't too long before the gutters were flushing with whatever sat in them all day. The streets cleared out just as quickly as it started to rain. Then, all of a sudden, after minutes of running, Micheal stopped in the middle of a park. 

"Really?! A park?!" Rina barked, hunching her shoulders a bit. They were standing on a hill. A hill that soon became plagued with mud and soft grass. Micheal's head bobbed side to side, still giving her a cheeky smile. Then without warning, he scooped her up and jumped. Both of their cries shot across the entire park back to the streets. The cool mud covered Mikey's entire back and Rina's side as they barreled and sled down the muddy hillside before reaching the bottom. Mikey's laughter could barely be contained, but was soon met with a mud pie to his face, Rina being the cynical laughing culprit. Her own laughter was stopped with a incoming mud pie of which she dodged. Before they knew it, they were soon both covered in mud and grass and bugs and whatever else was in the mud hole they wound up in. 

"You're so weird, ya know that?" She asked, leaning back on her hands as they both sat side by side while the rain did it's best ot wash them off. Mikey shrugged, still not needing to say anything about anything. Another handful of mud was dropped onto his head by her followed by a light nudge.
