Still in Italy, so I hope you don’t mind more Italian beers! Back from another day of driving hills & valleys, and for some reason I’m up for a couple IPA’s. First up is this mildly bitter easy to drink hop (citrus) fruity hop peppery Contamusse from Birrificio dell’AltaVia (Sassello (SV)). #contamusse #birrificiodellaltavia #altavia The second beer of the evening was this solid balanced bitter hop fruity Breaking Hops Double IPA from MC77 Birrificio Artigianale (Serrapetrona (MC)). #breakinghops #mc77 The sun has set and its illuminating light is fading, yet the time is ripe for this Beershop Maddalena - Genova Limited Edition (brewed by Birrificio di Legnano (Legnano (MI)), a beer reminding me positively of California’s full malted bitter (India) Pale Ales. PS The beers this evening were bought at this Beershop. **Interesting side note. Via Garibaldi is one the chicest car-free roads in Geneva, in my view at least, yet a short venture down a couple of its dark narrow alleyways leads one to the seedier side of the city. Once past the temptation of diurnal tricks & ponys, a fruit & vegetable grocer brings almost heathy holy light to the surroundings; and here of all places one finds malted/hopped gems from around the world.
