MCA Syllabus and Subjects 2022
MCA or Master of Computer Application Course is a postgraduate course in the field of computer technology, and programming. MCA syllabus and subjects covers both theoretical as well as practical aspects of computer technology, applications and programming. The three-year MCA course is divided into six semesters, thus following a semester system for examination.
MCA syllabus for first year includes subjects like Computer Organisation & Architecture, Computer Programming with C, Micro Programming & Architecture Lab, Data Communication & Computer Networks, Database Management System I, Object-Oriented Programming with C++, and more. The second year MCA syllabus involves the study of subjects like Operating Systems and Systems Software, Statistics and Numerical Techniques, Business Management, Management Accounting, Unix lab, Graphics & Multimedia, Software Engineering & TQM, Environment and Ecology, and more such disciplines.
The third year MCA syllabus covers elective subjects such as Distributed database management, Image Processing, Parallel Programming, System Administration and Linux, Windows Programming With VB, Advanced Unix programming, Object Oriented Programming With Java, Compiler Design, E-Commerce. Students can choose the elective subjects as per their areas of interest. The last semester requires students to work on a project and submit the results for evaluation.
