Shoutout to Azriel fans
For all Azriel and historical romance fans go and read Mc'Alistair's Fortune (The Providence Series) by Alissa Johnson. Seriously, that's Azriel having found a way to glamour his wings and spent some time amongst humans in the 1800's. You don't believe me?! - spy ✔️ - assassin ✔️ - scars ✔️(this time his chest though and not his hands) - 'loner' ✔️ - man of few words ✔️ - in the company of trusted few, epic sass issues ✔️ - in love with the heroine for a long time ✔️ (though here's 8 years not 500) - bastard son ✔️ - prone to fits of anger/sudden violence when someone insults a loved one ✔️(in case you don't remember, see: the High Lords meeting) - believes to be underserving of woman's love based on his past/parentage ✔️ - handsome, dark brooding type ✔️ - fond of knives ✔️ - suffers at the hands of a stepfather ✔️ - claustrophobia ✔️ - prefers his own company for most of the time ✔️ And I'm pretty sure there are more...and the heroine is a badass feminist who fights for equality and saves women/children from abusive homes.
