Tools and ways

Ivana does best when keeping her distance. She is good with trick shots. Usually brings her trusty bow. Prefers staying outside the building, maybe spotting with a pair of binoculars. May bring a slingshot or crossbow. Brilliant in forests and has a talent for climbing trees and lampposts alike. She climbs anything at any time.

Rin, being an enforcer, is big enough to take down security guards regardless of their size. She’s creative and the best at improvising when the original plan goes down the drain. (Although she doesn’t always tell her comrades what the new plan is when the first plan goes to shit) Would rather kick down the door than pick the lock. Great for keeping watch when Lou works. Wears the most protective gear. Severely claustrophobic, doesn’t even go into elevators.

Lou is a little lighter and faster. Gentler hands and quicker legs. No lock is safe when he is around. Brings his lockpick kit and a small knife. Maybe a Swiss Army knife with some extra tools? He likes being prepared. Probably has a hammer on his bedside table. A little paranoid like that.

Aria is very protective. Brings brass knuckles (much to Miyu’s demise) and thick gloves with thicker padding. Not great when you need to keep a low profile, but she is great when you need someone who can take on a few. She is quick on her feet and even quicker with her hands.

Cal has the first aid kit. Field medic. Also great at kicking down doors for some reason.

Kaia is very, very silent. And very, very deadly. She can sneak up on anyone from anywhere. No, we don’t know how she does it either. She is like a fucking octopus. Gets through everywhere. Her specialty is being quick and silent through vents, but her sense of space sucks so she gets lost.

Holly may be even smaller than Kaia, but she is much stronger. Can climb on absolutely anything. Her party trick? Climbing ropes using only her arms. And she can also lift her boyfriend Benjamin without breaking a sweat. Benjamin is 6.4" and an absolute unit. Holly is 5 feet tall.

Alina is an all-rounder. Light feet, heavy hands and towers over many. Party trick - knocking out unknowing people with a blow to the back of the head.

Balázs, K. [HU]

Ivana introduced another valuable asset to the team - Her fiancé Kora. Kora is actually not infected, but works a lot with Miyu's crew nonetheless. She doesn't fight, but does a lot of programming when her studies don't get in the way. (She is studying to become a lawyer)

Kora is gay, which is why she left her home country. Hungary is not a very tolerant country, so Kora had to leave when she came out. She and Ivana had been a couple for several years when Ivana got infected.

Kora and Zed are usually the masterminds behind bigger operations as none of them can be in the battlefield. She is good at 1000 piece puzzles, volleyball and killing all plants that come near her. Kora is also banned from the kitchen as she always manages to set shit on fire.

Zed.

Got into this shit through Miyu. Something something arm got blown off and the nub at the shoulder is all burnt and shit. Getting a good prosthetic was difficult. Until he met someone who didn’t see the need of getting software or batteries into the mix. 

Physics-based as Miyu is, managed to design, 3D-print and weld a fully mechanical prosthetic for Zed in little over a year. 

He now has 3 prosthetics. The one Miyu designed (though it had to be partially redone after a.. corrosion incident) and one which is purely cosmetic and doesn’t really work. The third, which was designed almost a decade later by Kora, can do much finer movements and comes with a keyboard, specifically tailored to work with the prosthetic. It works with electromagnets within the keyboard. However, Kora couldn’t get her hands on the batteries it needed, so it has to be plugged into a wall to work.

With his hand almost good as new, Zed could get to work with what he does best - chemistry. He also does lots of math, logistic things and helps Miyu out with planning. Alongside Adira, he helps with rehab and he specializes in braces and splints.

Maybe we’ll turn this shit around a little. Imagine if they’re casually living their lives alongside everyone else.

Taking the same train as you every morning and watching you drink your overpriced coffee while waiting for the bus.

If they could look fairly normal, public transport could be useful for them. No need to worry about license plates and chassi numbers.

Maybe they’ll just exist, leaving police forces clueless what the voice from the shadow is.

People showing up in the ER with mental breakdowns and doctors dismissing them, claiming they’re in withdrawal because of the needles marks from when our crew poked their bodies. Little do they know that the people coming in are completely sane, just scared. And not a single one coming in with those symptoms contract any blood-transmitted disease. That’s probably the first red flag. Every single needle poke is performed by someone who knows what they’re doing. 

I don’t know. It feels like no matter what I do, it turns out like a crossover of Tokyo ghoul and covid-19.

What if the plot doesn’t start with the crew and instead revolves around the Steen sisters?

Current plan with the Steen sisters is to have Alice, who is an mcas outside the organized people and her sister Elaine, who works for FOMP. (Basically MCAS destroyers) Considering Elaine is a FOMP employee, she is legally obligated to report any and all suspicious shit she finds. Yet she lives with an infected person and keeps that quiet.

Somewhere along the way they’d find Marie and/or Olive when Alice is desperate for a transfusion.

Little do they know that Marie is one of the main doctors within the crew and she is planning on setting the two up, making Elaine a valuable FOMP insider and also setting up a treatment plan for Alice.
