MCAT also known as the Medical College Admission Test is a standardized computer based, multiple choice test which has been a part of getting admitted in a medical school for more 90 years. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious admission tests for medical schools worldwide. The test determines how well a candidate does in terms of problem-solving, critical thinking, and medical knowledge. The Association of American Medical Colleges [AAMC] offers it as a test for medical school entrance that gauge’s applicants' medical aptitude. Institutions often use the test results to determine if an applicant fits the type and requirements of the programmes they are offering. MCAT is most frequently used for admittance into programmes after MBBS or other first-cycle medical degrees, however the degrees may differ.
