Intimacy

Effy use to have a really hard time with emotional intimacy, she was afraid once she became emotionally attached to someone that he or she would leave. That being said she had no problem with physical intimacy, she liked to be touched (in both sexual and nonsexual ways). She felt as though the physical contact made up for her emotional detachment, but she's slowly realizing that she was wrong. Letting her brother back into her life she's slowly opened herself up to other people and is learning to be emotionally intimate and vulnerable.
