Three musketeers, that’s how her mom used to call them. Harper, her older brother Lucas and Ethan, his best friend. When Harper was younger she would refuse to leave Lucas alone so he always had to bring her along, it must have been pretty annoying, but finally when Harper got little older she found herself friends and gave Lucas well-deserved space. Since then they didn’t spend much time together, she was usually hanging out with her friends, while he was doing all the college shit. Things changed, but one thing stayed the same. Lucas kept being overprotective brother, and Harper knew some things had to be kept from him. That’s why Ethan was usually the one she called when she needed saving. He was good at keeping secrets, thank to him she didn’t have to deal with judgmental tone of her older brother. This time it was pretty much the same. Harper went out to have fun with her friends, she drank a little, and when one of the guys tried get closer she freaked out and called Ethan to come get her. Now they were driving back home, and it was an hour drive so she expected him to be not only annoyed but also angry. “I’ll pay you back for the gas, I promise. I will do your laundry, or I don’t make you lunch for the rest of your life, whatever you want. Just please don’t say anything to Lucas.”
