McDanno proposals
The boys trying to figure out how to propose is a cute idea to think about. Like initially I like to think that Steve would prepare something romantic on the beach ya know? picnic dinner where he grills them a steak dinner, rose petals spelling out ‘will you marry me?’, a ton of candles and the moonlight.
Danny might try to do it on a very romantic date at a fancy dinner, maybe ask Morimoto for some help, and there’ll be champagne or fine wine. Or maybe have a nice meal at home, and he gets the kids involved cos they mean the world to Danny and if he’s marrying again he needs them to be on board. So Danny will have a ‘Will you be my husband?’ sign and the kids will have ‘will you be our other dad?’ signs.
But on the flip side, because Danny loves Steve I can see him like getting a fireworks display on the beach to write out ‘will you marry me?’ because Steve loves the ocean and beach and explosions and he wants something Steve will love.
And Steve loves Danny but god help him if he doesn’t already consider Danny’s kids his, so he would totally ask Grace and Charlie permission to ask Danno to marry him. (he talks to Grace first cos he’s concerned Charlie might not be able to keep a secret.) and so they plan a family dinner, Charlie gets a card he made and when Danny opens it the card reads “Will you let Uncle Steve become Papa Steve?” And Danny’s a bit confused until he looks up and sees Steve down on one knee with a ring and a hopeful smile.
