when i make chicken nuggets at home, i only ever do it by the mcdonalds serving sizes. they know exactly what they're doing with their serving sizes. but every once in a great while, like a shooting star, the workers will bless me with the extra nuggets i wish for every time i use the self order kiosk. i do this for myself. i'm sorry i lied to you, but i'm also lying to myself. it's a good lie, one that makes my face light up when the air fryer beeps to let me know my order is ready, and i open it up to see that divine help has blessed me with twelve nuggets instead of ten. i think that more people would be happier if they lied to themselves this way. i think everyone should find a way to make every little delight a teensy bit more special.
