" Do you ever see the demons I conceal when you look at me?"
cana blinked, a saddened frown taking over her features for a moment. “ i do. ” she then gave a light shrug and motioned at the barmaid’s person. “ i’ve known you for years, mama. i can see your struggle on your face sometimes. ” she swirled the beer in her mug around a few times, looking into the frothy liquid as though it would give her the answers to the universe. it wouldn’t, beer wasn’t like that. the brunette could hope, though.
her dark eyes looked back to the takeover mage. “ i’m not afraid of you and i don’t see… i don’t see satan instead of mira, or halphas or sitri or anything like that. you’re still mama to me. but i can tell when you struggle more than usual. and it hurts me because i just want you happy, i want you healthy and to not worry about that stuff… ” she sighed. “ i try to distract you when it happens. no clue if that helps or not, but it’s all i can think of, if you want the truth. ”
