To me Lysander is the type that strikes me as the one who holds EVERYTHING in. Emotions, frustrations, and the like. I know I’m trash, no one needs to tell me that. But I mean… I really want Lysander to just fucking lose it. I want him to yell, I want to see his face all puffy and red as he glares at Candy for whatever she does next. I want to see Lysander is all his fucking glory.

I figured out Candy's theme song. Lenka's Trouble is a Friend. If you've never heard of it I suggest you go listen to it.

So I was letting my imagination get the best of me, wondering how Lysander would react should he find Candy doing the tango with someone. (I was listening to In-Grid’s In-Tango. Shit was getting hot) And just out of no where I could literally see the dark look on his face and I yelled ‘abort abort!’ So loud that I made myself panic and fall out of my bed. Wtf has my life come to???

Is Candy a Mary-Sue?

I just saw this interesting topic of the forum and I wanted to post something but for some reason I have to kill the pages(sucky internet connection) but tumblr is working just fine. So I'll just bring it here onto Tumblr.

In my opinion, I give 'Candy' a break simply because half of the time her personality and choices that we don't like("that's not what I would do at all, boohoo!" or "My OC would never do that")because for the most part, her actions and reactions have to follow the story line or the plot that Chino and the team have set along with the guy we intend to go down with.

The episodes are just starting in my opinion so for all we know, Candy could have some serious character growth twenty episodes in so I don't think it's simply fair to stick a label to her other than 'main character'.

Mary Sue has mutated in a sense that we just sort of slap the label on a character regardless of her(or his) importance to the story plot or we simply don't like her(or him) so we give em the boot. Sad but true.(it's seen in every anime/fandom and whatever you write fanfiction for don't give me shit about 'My fandom isn't like that!' No one is innocent.) But the classic sue was pretty much to be intelligent, skilled at whatever the story(or writer) demands of that sue, and just generally loved by everyone.

Candy doesn't even come close to the classic Mary Sue. (However if you play the game right you can have just about every guy other than Leigh and Alexy on their knees in love with Candy.) While Candy might be C-B plus smart, she's not the super intelligent person like Nathaniel is(however recent episodes have made me want to smack the living shit out of him several times). She's average and being average is okay. Unless we see some future character growth where Candy is working on her studies where some of the other characters(guys and girls) are making small comments about it, she'll remain the average girl. Skills, I'm sure Candy has some. She can do her homework(that takes lots of skills if you ask me) being nosy is something she's great at but that's what we know so far. We haven't really gotten to know our character on a personal level.(hell we don't even know about her past other than little snippets from Kentin and Lucy).

Last but not least, she's not loved by everyone. Amber and her group have disliked Candy from the start, by the time Nathaniel's arc is over she still might not like us simply because of what Amber could be going through at home now. Melody is starting to slowly dislike Candy because she has a very unhealthy(it's unhealthy, I'm sorry Melody)obsession with Nathaniel. Capucine isn't a big fan of our character either because she wants to be all accepted by Amber. Deborah disliked her big time. If Deborah ever comes back, I think we can all assume she'll never be friends with Candy.

If we've singled a guy out, than the guys we have low meters with don't like our Candy either. There is so much that makes Candy so not a Mary Sue it sort of kills me. 

She is a growing character (yes, like it or not she's still growing and won't stop UNTIL THE VERY LAST EPISODE) and Mary Sues do not grow. Mary Sues are perfection. If you are perfect, you cannot grow. Candy is far from perfect and I believe she still has a chance to grow as a round character. :)
